Circulating on the web tonight:
During an appearance on the Alex Jones Show, Drudge asserted that copyright laws which prevent websites from even linking to news stories were being advanced.
I had a Supreme Court Justice tell me its over for me, said Drudge. Theyve got the votes now to enforce copyright law, youre out of there. Theyre going to make it so you cant even use headlines.
To have a Supreme Court Justice say to me its over, theyve got the votes, which means time is limited, he added, noting that a day was coming when simply operating an independent website could be outlawed.
That will end (it) for me fine Ive had a hell of a run, said Drudge, adding that web users were being pushed into the cyber ghettos of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
This is ghetto, this is corporate, theyre taking your energy and youre getting nothing in return nothing!
Yup. Some small enterprising countries will host sites like Drudge. This is already done with banking , ship registries, gambling etc.
However, the US overlords could block access to such countries' sites, setting up a virtual black curtain. This time we would be inside the black curtain, not outside.
GOPe too. It's bipartisan, a uniparty dream.
FReeRepublic doesn’t drive me to Other sites,
it points me to the sounds of Battle.
LOL!
you can check in but you can’t check out...
So will the pamphleteer, and the samizdat writers come back into their own, and small newspapers come back into it.
Newspapers are causing this as they try to control the message and the fake news.
Re-model the concept to street reporters and blogs.... everywhere. Blogs who WANT to be linked but blogs who carry accuracy in their reportage. That’s the way to fight this.
I think this bears repeating ;
FReeRepublic doesn’t drive Me to Other sites,
it directs Me to the sounds of a Battle.
The net is still in it’s infancy so to speak. No telling what it’s going to do. 7 years ago we didn’t have “smart” phones that are now more powerful than the PC I had back in 05. Billions of people are connected from all over the world. If the US MSM think they can control it (net)....they are truly about as stupid as they appear and speak.
And without permission from the MSM...it just sticks in their craw that they can’t control it any longer.
Could be the start of a number of unfortunate accidents occurring in the Washington DC area.
The future of Free Republic?
There may be an article out there.
Can’t tell you who published it.
Can’t tell you where it is.
Can’t mention the topic.
Can’t tell you what it said.
Look for it. You’ll see what I mean.
I have never had Facebook, Twitter, My Space or Instagram...and I won’t.
No cable, no dish.
Oh and put tape over your laptop webcam and disable your mic.
Hopefully the next installment in DC will put a stop to all the
insanity that is over-taking this country.
BTTT
Yahoo and Google have the money to buy the right to use headlines from mainstream media outlets. It won’t hurt them. It will help advance their dark agenda without the light of day.
It is be the “man on the street” (the elite’s hated uppity people in their p.j’s) who will be forbidden to list headlines, link articles and discuss, politically incorrectly, social, economic and political affairs.
They will probably all lose hits to their websites as the Internet will no longer be useful to people who are accustomed to it’s current freedom around corporate and government brainwashing. The public’s resentment towards the mainstream news outlets, Google and Yahoo will rise.
It will be interesting to see how Americans get around this effort to stifle their thought, debates and knowledge by the biggie bigs. They have to end American free speech as they have done in Europe and China. We keep messing up the global government (via exposing the climate change lie, for example) and National and global police state “progress”, AI developments, etc. by exposing it and discussing it’s dark implications for the US and humanity in general. Things are getting weirder and weirder, Jim.
Start squirreling away as much money now, while you can. I will be donating for this quarter’s fund raising soon. God Bless. Our Nation needs Him, big time, everyday and even more so now.
I’m marching now...
Those outlets opposing linkage will likely be limited to liberal sites and NYC/Beltway establishments. Other sites will likely be happy to have linkage because it increases advertising ratings as viewers click on the links.
So the leftists rags are probably shooting themselves in the foot. They erroneously think that the conservative majority will suddenly go quiet and give up. Nothing could be further from the truth. Work arounds will find a way.
We have seen in the last several years actions to impose a “fairness doctrine” on broadcast media, actions to open sites to FCC involvement and oversight, actions to give internet control of website URLs to foreign entities and now we see a plan to try and shut down, penalize, prohibit conservative sites that link to and reflect headlines of liberal media. It should not be surprising.
I think it’s a blessing in disguise and I welcome the challenge it brings and look forward to the quickening of the demise of the liberal media.
Book burnings next....
Why not create your own headline or what ever and just spell out the site of reference instead of using their link?
For example, if it were and LA Times, or NY Times, instead of using their link, just spell out the site like above and the user could perform a relatively quick search if wanted?
Why is he keeping the name secret for something this major?
