Despite what Donald Trump and many other politicians have told you, the major threat to America isn’t Muslim extremism. In fact, statistics show that the real danger lies with domestic extremists who aren’t of the Muslim faith.

The New York Times reported back in June that since Sept. 11, 2001, almost twice as many people have died at the hands of white supremacists and other non-Muslim extremists than by radical Muslims. Using data compiled by New America, a Washington Research center, a study found that 48 people have been killed by extremists who are not Muslim—including the mass killings in Charleston, S.C.—compared to the 26 by self-proclaimed jihadists. However, this does not factor in yesterday’s tragic shooting or less publicized incidents like the Las Vegas couple who murdered two police officers and left a Swastika on one of the bodies. In other words, since September 10, 2001, about SIXTY TIMES as many American people have died at the hands of radical Muslims than at the hands of white supremacists and other non-Muslim extremists!

Unfortunately the line at New America is down, shows zero fatalities. It's interesting that they contrast jihadist attacks with RIght Wing attacks, clearly implying a political motivation. And, I suspect, lumping groups like the KKK, a century and half old democrat political organization in it's origin and various rebirths as right wing. Even the NYT headline screams White Supremecists, changing it in the first paragraph to domestic extremists who aren’t of the Muslim faith

Counting the steps on the NYT chart

it appears as though since 9/11 there have been 5 jihadist attacks and 8 non-jihadist. If true, that's not a particularly comprehensive listing.

Interesting they use 9/11 in the headline for effect, but ignore the casualties that day. And how about gangbangers, the biggest threat to black lives, in numbers which overwhelm both the above categories. Are they not extremeists? Do they not have an ideology we should be combatting?
