Ben Carson may want to stick to just providing his medical opinions.
The retired neurosurgeon and surging 2016 Republican candidate offered another controversial stance about Islam in America on Sunday, saying that he's open to considering religion as probably cause for searches.
When asked on ABC's "This Week" if he would listen to arguments from people advocating that one's religion could provide probable cause to search the emails and calls of Syrian refugees being let into the U.S., Carson answered in the affirmative.
"I personally don't feel that way, but I would certainly be willing to listen to somebody who had evidence to the contrary," Carson said. "I think that's one of the problems, we get to our little corners, and we don't want to listen to anybody."
"What we should be talking about is Islam and the tenets of Islam and where do they come from? They come from sharia. They come the Koran," he added, diving back into his anti-Muslim comments from last week. "They come from, you know, the life works and examples of Mohammed. They come from the fatwas, which is the writings of scholars. You know, and if you go back and you look at - what I would like for somebody to show me is an improved Islamic text that opposes sharia."

Notice how the MSM left off the first part of his statement: “I personally don’t feel that way...”. You don’t suppose they’re trying to slant things a bit, do you?
Carson appears not to want the muslims to take over the US.
How dare he.
The NY Daily News is a longtime lefty publication.
Look up their articles at the time when their darling Bill Clinton was impeached.
So he says ...
I personally don’t feel that way...
And they ignore that part to cherry pick and cast him as anti religion. Also, the question was specifically about Syrian refugees.
If this ever happened, it would ONLY be used against Christians. But they will trick Christians into pushing for this.
"You know how Obama talked about people bitterly clinging to their guns and religion? He was talking about radical Muslims."
They always throw these no win questions to republicans. You cant do searches based on religion. If the person has ties to jihadists then of course.
There could be a day when it used against Christians.
Great post.
America gave up on the loyalty oath, the trojan horse is welcome inside the gate and it is foreign funded.
Islam is a political system and it is intolerant of other faiths.
Refugees are NOT US CITIZENS.
The goal is to get them back safely into their own country.
AFTER that let them apply for Refugee Status, like every other person on the planet.
Look at Everything.
Mother, father, sister, brother, cousin, religion, work history, education, health . . . EVERYTHING.
Then let in those that would BENEFIT THE US.
And I’m sure this wouldn’t be abused by a Democrat against Christians in the future...
Exactly!
We have to be very careful regarding laws to reduce the threat of Islam to our nation.
Those same laws will be applied to Christians. They’ll be used for oppression.
A good rule of thumb is ask ourselves if we would want those laws applied to Christianity.
I personally think there should be monitoring of Islamic sermons and activity. Would I object to that being done in Christian churches? No. We’re not fomenting subversion and terrorism in Christian churches.
A law needs to be protective and yet not destructive of good.
Carson is on the right track but doesn't go far enough. Trump doesn't have a clue. Until Christians and Jews understand that it's kill Muslims or be killed - we are doomed.
We are committing national suicide by allowing Muslims in our nation. Where's Charles Martel when you need him?
Epic Fail. The answer to the problem my good Doctor is not to let any of the “refugees” in the country.
Maybe because it's hard to believe he doesn't personally feel that way, or he's looking for someone to convince him to feel that way.
Oh. Like being a Democrat.
