Mayors from eighteen U.S. cities signed a letter to President Obama saying they are willing to take even more refugees than what has been proposed by the administration.
We will welcome the Syrian families to make homes and new lives in our cities, wrote the mayors, all of whom are part of the Cities United for Immigration Action coalition.
Indeed, we are writing to say that we stand ready to work with your Administration to do much more and to urge you to increase still further the number of Syrian refugees the United States will accept for resettlement.
This is a challenge we can meet, and the undersigned mayors stand ready to help you meet it, they wrote.
The mayors who signed included New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh.

As soon as I saw the title I knew Minneapolis would be on the list.
LOLOL...yeah.....right.
Why am I NOT surprised to see a Bush sitting on the board of this *coalition* to promote *responsible* (Syrian) immigration, to the USA?
I’ve thought that, as well.
Where are all of the blockades/protests???
Right, Jeb Sr.’s campaign might be a reason “the behind-the-scenes coordinator” (temporarily?) halted coordinating with de Blasio.
You can bet the leftist mayors on the above list just didn't make this offer separately and spontaneously...Obama organized it by personally contacting his soul-mate mayors, you can make book on it.
If Jeb Bush was still Florida's governor, he's be importuning Florida mayors to accept X numbers of the invading hordes. We have a good governor now in Rick Scott...I'm sure he'll hold firm.

No organization on our side. The pdf Enlightened1 posted at the beginning of the article lists the locations of processing centers in the U.S. so we do know where. Now we need to find out when the aliens will be arriving and accept the consequences of participating in a blockade.
Nutter of Philadelphia must have been too busy to put his name on this!!
Who pays for the flights that these *refugees* will be coming over on?
Where do they depart from?
We know who’s footing the bill - We the Taxpayers get to foot the bill for our country’s demise, yet again.
Unless something has changed radically in Allentown , that place is full of nazi skinheads
Last time I was there a riot broke out at a show, they had a 12 foot square swastika flag and at least one kid was thrown through a sheet rock wall and came out the other side.

Mayor Bill de Blasio created a $150,000-a-year job to boost his national immigration agenda and then the cushy position was handed to the live-in girlfriend of one of his most trusted aides, The Post has learned.
Stephanie Yazgi, 38, the longtime partner of senior mayoral aide Emma Wolfe, 35, was hired in May for the unadvertised position of campaign director in the mayors Office of Immigrant Affairs.
Thats just a made-up position, said one Democratic insider. It makes no sense. They create a position for her for $150,000 thats a redundancy.
Yazgi will be responsible for overseeing the mayors national organizing efforts on immigration, specifically the Cities for Action on Immigration coalition, according to a job description provided by City Hall.
The position was initially to be funded by a private grant, but because of delays, taxpayers will be footing the bill instead.
NATIONAL IMMIGRATION FORUM FUNDED BY SOROS AND THE LEFT
According to the Huffington Post, EIT is running a $250,000 advertising campaign in favor of the Senates Gang of Eight immigration bill. Even so, EIT admitted to Breitbart News it does not legally exist as an incorporated political entity or non-profit organization but said NIF is the group that facilitates its activities.
NIF is a power player in immigration politics, and includes among its leadership some of the most powerful Washington figures on the issue.
In 2009, OSI donated $257,152 to NIF aimed at implementing immigration reform campaign through communications, policy, and field organizing.
Also in 2009, OSI donated another $1.5 million to allow NIF to manage and lead Four Pillars Campaign for comprehensive immigration reform, and sustain core policy work supporting and leading policy efforts.
A year later, in 2010, Soross OSI gave NIF another $1.5 million over two separate grants both intended for general operating support.
NIF has also received $1 million total from the leftist Ford Foundation, spread over two separate half-million-dollar grants in 2009 and 2011. Those grants were both intended for advocacy in favor of comprehensive immigration reform.
SOROS-BACKED, BUSH-LED IMMIGRATION GROUP PLANS ATTACK AD FOR CNN DEBAT
The National Immigration Forum Action Fund (NITAF) is preparing to air ads that will attack GOP frontrunner Donald Trump, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)96%

What was I thinking? I need to hold my wallet a little tighter.
Add to her $200+k salaried “life partner,” de Blasio aide Emma Wolfe.
Doubtless every one of them are.
What's driving them, you might ask.
I'd wager it's the same thinng that cause Merkel to offer refugee status to half the Midle East and North Africa.
Population decline. And, with that, tax revenues.
Every one of those Northeastern Rust Belt cities have lost population...and tax revenues.
Get yourself a few thousand more Syrians and, long-term, you'll not only gain voters, you'll gain population and tax revenue short-term. Even though the bulk of the refugees will be on welfare, they'll be spending that money in the city -- creating more sales tax revenue.
Further, when it comes to parcelling out federal goodies, refugee population is like any other kind of population -- it counts. Plus, the numbers help us keep our U.S. Rep , plus state reps and senators, thus retain political influence.
Cynical bastards (and bitches) aren't they...???
If this happens, it won’t end well.
So I can only assume that the first “refugee” for each city will be staying with the mayor him/her self.
We have a Black Muslim Mayor of Atlanta that wants to take a bunch of them. Like its not already burka central in our county which isn’t even in Atlanta.
My best friend visited Wash DC last month on vacay. She said it was shocking to look around our capital city and see about 40% of the people walking around were Muslim. She was in Georgetown which I used to love and she said that a lot of those old brownstones are now offices and they say stuff like Office of Social Justice on the door. Total Commie stuff everywhere. Sad.
Bingo! If not already.
The citizens you talk about are to busy getting their thrills at all kinds of ball games. As a young boy at the time of WWII I participated in all ball sports from tennis to football and basket ball even ice hockey on frozen ponds. I never thought that player salaries/money would become so enriching. My and others service in WWII was never ever even close to paying what athletes money is today. Luckily through many years of employment with a good education I have managed to have a good life in the US.
