I have yet, in my life, to see someone that sided with a leftist issue not turn out to be a flaming liberal in everything else once his mask came off.

No exceptions. And this guy sides with EVERY leftist cause.

“Catholics do not have to have “blind obedience” to this Pope. I’m Catholic and I’m not buying what he’s selling.”

Neither am I. He needs to worry about what his priests are doing and have done. Isn’t Cardinal Law still living in the Vatican? What does he have to say about him? He needs to STFU about GW and our immigration situation and get his own house completely in order.

I listened for any mention of Jesus.

....... waiting ......

The answer to ALL the problems The Pope listed.

But that means that the individual must submit to him, so not an attractive message.

“Poppycock! Every nation has a right and a responsibility to set an immigration policy and enforce it. Illegal aliens need to be prosecuted and expelled.”

Actually, this is very close to what the Catechism states

When did the pope become an American and therefore earn the right to tell our government what to do? Our government won’t accomplish what the majority of its citizens want why would they do what a foreigner wants instead?

While I have the strongest opposition to a liberal immigration policy, in the present context; I have no problem agreeing that a "Mindset of hostility," should not be the basis of our immigration policy.

The essential basis should be, what it once clearly was, the interests of the rooted population and their posterity, down through the generations: The continuity of Americans as a distinct people, (or peoples, as I am a States' Righter),friends to all humanity, to be sure; but distinct people who respect others & expect respect back, for the heritages and continuity of all distinct nations.

An American Immigration Policy.

Our population is already beyond what the Founders would have considered ideal. They, as most Conservatives valued the great open spaces; the room to get away from the urban hustle & bustle that even then plagued Europe. Our institutions depend in part on reflective people, able to sort out the intellectual wheat from the confused mental chaff of modern life.

Lets suggest just a few topics the popa Fran could be addressing and teaching on—
abortion- killing innocent babies
sanctity of marriage and family
importance of prayer and worship of God
rejecting evil and embracing wisdom
generous giving to the poor and needy
Forgiving each other and The Golden Rule
The Ten Commandments
The redemption through Christ and salvation

These are what the Pope should focus on....

I notice Clarence Thomas didn’t show up. He knows what’s what.

Don't they always leave somebody out of state functions - succession of power in case of disaster thing.
