Look.....I must admit the Pope delivered a speech filled with many items that are food for thought....but it is my belief, that this “dialogue” speech will have little impact, either way on the world and especially the United States of America!!! He handled it quite wel, and gave a a politically neutral speech, that was not partisan, but balanced, in its content!!! Smart move. Yes, he is an extreme leftist, but...he was wise enough to utter words of balance here in the USA!!!
The one item that is really worth saving, extending and protecting, will remain in focus...and that is the necessity of maintaining a strong, functioning, loving, family....which is more important, then any other topics he mentioned, excepting the right to life!!! I am sure our Kenyan, Muslim, POTUS, Obama was not overjoyed by his delivery and remarks!!!

The greatest genocide in the history of mankind is happening (abortion) and this pope only wants to talk about the weather and being nice to criminal and terrorists that want to kill us!

On top of all that, the Pope doesn’t seem to be advocating for Catholic teaching. I’ve not yet seen a report that he ever discussed abortion, homosexualist culture/marriage, the attacks on his own churches/schools/agencies forced to violate their faith, the destruction of the middle class, or the massacre of Christians.
He’s not pushing Christian teaching.
He’s not pushing Catholicism.
One has to wonder what the heck he is pushing.
A politician who says we must change the weather, but nothing about killing babies.
The Vatican is a city-state, and he is its political leader.
When ever a prophet speaks (note there are real and false ones) We should test the prophet by saying “But what does the Lord say?”
I suggest everyone do there own research as the word foreigners does show quite a few times.

How can you say that when he didn’t mention abortion and the sale of baby parts?
If the pope thinks unrestricted immigration is so swell, why doesn’t he take in “these poor souls.” He’s got tons of money and plenty of room in the Vatican.
The reason for severely restricting immigration, has to do with positive support for the continuity of the culture of rooted Americans. You weaken our position, if you base the argument on hostility.
Now, that does not mean that we should not also look critically at anyone allowed in. Certainly all prospects are not equal or equivalent or nice or whatever. And certainly we should never allow in people who hate us--that is insanity.
But again, the purpose of an immigration & naturalization policy, must always be our interests, not the likes or dislikes of anyone.

If the Vatican wants to be a political organization, then they need to be taxed like one.
If he actually used that to segue into a discussion of capital punishment, then he did NOT mention abortion at all.
My comment would be that he surrendered to Caesar today.

Too bad. We have some really faithful Catholics here on FR, who are CONSERVEatives. They want to CONSERVE the great values of the past that have made our country great.
Those are Christian values of LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
This pope majored on climate and immigration. He was indistinguishable from a democrat running for office in the northeast.
