Pope Francis on Thursday urged the U.S. Congress to reject a "mindset of hostility" on immigration and to recognize people who wish to move to the United States as people who are trying to improve their lives and those of their families.

Asked the same question as to why or who invited him.
There was such an outrage over Bibi talking , but a leader of Catholics is alright to preach to the country on our laws.
It looks like they are preparing for the One World Government. Get the world leaders (UN) and obams together with the Catholic Church... which is HUGE. and we have that One World Rule plus the Pope opening the way for the Anti Christ to come on the scene. And because it’s endorsed by religion, it will be accepted by the masses. IMHO
Pope is well liked by the left and other nations... his likeableness is because he doesn’t have any “do nots” for that bunch. They like to have their lefty lives endorsed by religion.. and this Pope is sanctioning that.
In TEN years, maybe 20 at the outside, the Sistine Chapel will lay in ruin at the hands of the immigrants. Camp of the Saints.
Wasn’t that ‘render unto Castro’?
Boehner extended the invitation.
The USA has the most Christian (as in ethical) immigration policy on earth. Anything above that and the legal immigrant quota is illegal and anyone advocating for those illegals is guilty of the sin of greed and envy.
A non-American telling us ho to act again. STFU.
The implication is that already there is a mindset of hostility.
Anyone else notice how this pope just glossed over abortion and gay marriage while hitting hard on leftist issues like captial punishment, global warming and of course EVIL capitalism!
*sigh*
did he finally mention abortion?
Ug!
LOL that made me laugh.
Stressing eliminating the death penalty, which has been allowed in the Catholic Church for 2,000 (because the death penalty is allowed by scripture), and is official Church doctrine, and never uttering the word abortion is unconscionable. I also don’t remember him saying a thing about religions persecution by Obama.
Then he put down all that want to stop illegal immigration in the United States. Obama is a happy camper today.
It’s the threat to our Rule of Law posed by ‘He Who Occupies the WH’ that is the issue........not the immigrants.
Our rule of law is the only thing that is keeping the entire rest of the world from descending into anarchy.
Under this Pope, the Vatican needs to be overrun with a human wave of young male Muslim “immigrants” bent on the destruction of the West. Then the Pope can kneel down and pray in the new largest Mosque in Europe.
Hence, the entire argument about whether or not the nostrums of the Left comply with the snippets of the Bible misses the entire point. The authority of Christianity does not derive from its grand strategies for combating poverty but from a single strategy of granting new life to individuals who might be poor or who might be rich but are bankrupt in their souls. To argue and dispute the secular political or environmental strategies of Christianity is to cause the faith to descend into competition with sharia or with Marxism, that is, to equate Christianity with social reform rather than with salvation.
As a Protestant, I believe the purpose of the Christian church is to save souls and not to save the environment. The Pope might indeed be the Vicar of Christ but when he gets into the business of rendering unto Caesar he is no more than any leftist advancing life controls contrary to human liberty. Whether his nostrums comply with snippets from the Bible or are contrary to other provisions of the Bible, are of no theological value and of no secular value. That is not to deny, however, that Christianity offers the world the best environment for the secular prosperity of mankind and the proof is in the relative dystopia produced by other theologies such as Islam. That secular advantage is a side effect, not the raison d'être of Christianity.
The message is a person not a white paper even if it's called an encyclical on the environment, the economy or poverty.
And did Boner have any ulterior motives, knowing that the Pope would speak in support of open borders and the climate change hoax? Maybe hoping the Pope could remove some resistance to those Obama goals and goals of all too many Republicans.
Anybody's guess, I suppose.
Ever tried taking up residence in The Vatican? Immigrants need not apply. You can only live there if you work for the Catholic church.
Drudge has pic of boner crying behind the pope. lol
