The science on global warming is settled, so settled that 20 climate scientists are asking President Barack Obama to prosecute people who disagree with them on the science behind man-made global warming.

Perhaps this should be used on those who have knowingly deceived the American people about the risks of climate change in order to receive government funding
This is what happens when people see that their grant money might be going away.
It’s pretty scary when so-called “scientists” are arguing for using the law to persecute those who disagree with their “consensus”. I guess they probably also thing the Catholic church was completely justified in persecuting Galileo, since he broken with the “consensus” and threatened the church’s monopoly on the truth.
Just exactly like in the old days when truth-seeking scientists of their day, such as Galileo, Louis Pasteur, Antonie van Leeuwenhoek, Alfred Wegener, Antoine Lavoisier, and Robin Warren and Barry J., refused to “compromise” with the 99% of their peers who were flagrantly wrong, and were threatened with everything from burning at the stake to professional annihilation. Nothing seems to have changed other than that the reactionary forces are now labeled as “Progresive”.
Truth seeking isn’t about compromising, it’s about sifting through the available knowledge and applying reasoning to discard the obvious BS and figuring out what is most likely from the rest.

It looks to me like a certain department at George Mason University has a number of professors with waaay too much time on their hands.

Prosecute me first. AGW is a hoax.
- Galileo
Even if so-called global warming had been proven by the consistent results of repeatable, scientific-method based experiments, it remains that the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend in the name of global warming issues. And the president cannot prosecute people for breaking a federal law that cannot exist.
The ill-conceived 17th Amendment needs to disappear, and corrupt senators and the unconstitutional funding that they have helped to establish for global warming research as well.
"Ed is currently a Principal Investigator on several climate change education grants funded by the National Science Foundation, NASA, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment, and Town Creek Foundation."
Looks like Ed's paycheck is directly tied to getting more gov goodies. No conflict of interest here.
Torquemada LIVES!.............................
The Pope’s problem with Galileo wasn’t that he threatened Scripture, rather it was that he claimed a thing as fact that he couldn’t at the time prove and did so under the imprimatur of the Church. There were Clerics who believed what Galileo believed.
The Second Inquisition begins!
The prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present and is gravely to be regarded. Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientifictechnological elite. - Eisenhowers Farewell Address
