Uh Oh… Looks Like Ben Carson is Openly Embracing Amnesty

I like Ben Carson. A lot. But he isn’t without flawed positions.

His 2nd Amendment misstep a few years ago is one he’s somewhat redeemed himself for. But when it comes to his support of amnesty, this one is current and he’s going to have a difficult time backtracking.

In fact, Ben Carson’s position on dealing with what is now probably closer to 20 million illegal immigrants is really no different than that of Jeb Bush. I know some Carson fans are going to hate me for saying this, but Ben Carson is openly declaring he’s for amnesty.

For starters, when asked about deportation, Carson said “many of them have never known any other country … so where are you going to send them?”

Well, my question is… why is that our problem? They have a home country of origin. That’s where they need to go. This is not their country!

Then Carson said we must “provide them a way so that they don’t have to hide in the shadows” and “give them an opportunity to become guest-workers–they have to register, they have to enroll in a back tax program.”

Let’s not pretend this is something that it’s not. It’s amnesty. It’s almost exactly what Jeb Bush wants.

And that’s a shame.

H/T: Breitbart.

I have been saying the same thing for weeks. I first learned about him in the 1970’s. I think that was the time frame. Reader’s Digest had an article/book about him. He never should have gotten involved in politics. There are several who should not have gotten involved.

Agreed. The list of candidates needs trimming.

Carson has taken the consistent position of conservatives/ libertarians/ capitalists/ corporatists/ Evangelicals/ Catholics/ Republicans pre-2002.

It has never been conservative to abandon the rule of law.

The rest of your list is accurate.

Carson is a flawed candidate. Yes, he’s a talented surgeon, but he’s no conservative.

I second this.

When asked by Glenn Beck if people should be allowed to own semi-automatic weapons, Dr. Benjamin Carson said: "It depends on where you live. I think if you live in the midst of a lot of people, and I’m afraid that that semi-automatic weapon is going to fall into the hands of a crazy person, I would rather you not have it." (Glenn Beck Show, March 1, 2013)

It’s to prove they aren’t racist. Of course, supporting him because he’s a clean cut, articulate, smart black man with no experience proves they didn’t learn anything over the past seven years.

Every state will become like California, both politically and economically - which is to say, overwhelming Dem and broke.

Great post!

You succinctly describe how 1) open borders and 2) and the intentional importation of potential dem voters could lead to the collapse of our once glorious nation.

Widespread civil unrest resulting from the failed systems of "broke" states can lead to revolution which is often followed by tyranny.

We essentially had the battlefield to ourselves during the American Revolution; however, in this age there are many capable anti-American international forces that will quickly step in if our nation was to stagger and collapse.

It is indeed time, as you say, for America to wake up.

Ben has gone full-Bush

Almost makes you wonder if he hasn't gotten some Republican consultants to help him with the issues he doesn't know much about.

With someone the quality of Ted Cruz, I can’t believe anyone conservative is considering anyone else.

I agree but he's too conservative for the average American. He needs a rocket booster. Which is where Trump comes in handy.

Most illegals seem not to assimilate as noted by their never speaking English in public so their children are fully comfortable with the family’s original country and customs from their home life so going back would not be so traumatic. Send them home.

Agree. He could be useful in our new administration, but not where he can affect the deportation of illegals, or the 2nd Amendment.

Yep. Amnesty is about introducing millions of permanent DemocRat voters into the mix and giving them a permanent majority.

Good point. B. Carson loves illegal aliens and is anti-guns. These views make him bad for America.

I never understood the appeal of Carson, and before him Cain. Is it because there are a lot of conservatives who are itching to find a black candidate they can support, and they’ll go for any black that puts an R after his name?

Bingo
