Bobby Jindal: ‘Donald Trump’s Never Read the Bible’ Because ‘He’s Not in the Bible’

(CNSNews.com) – GOP presidential candidate Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal took a swing at GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump during a speech Thursday at the National Press Club, labeling him a “narcissist.”

“Now you may have recently heard and seen that Donald Trump said that the Bible is his favorite book. Yet, when asked, he couldn’t even name a specific or a single Bible verse that was important to him, that had an impact on him. Well do you know why? Well it’s clear, Donald Trump’s never read the Bible. The reason we know he’s never read the Bible, he’s not in the Bible,” said Jindal.

Trump is currently under fire for remarks he made to Rolling Stone magazine in which he suggested that GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina would not be elected, because of her looks.

"Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?” Trump told the magazine.

Jindal also called Trump “an ego-maniac” who lacks substance.

“That may sound like a serious charge to make, but it’s something everybody knows to be true. He knows it too. He celebrates it. He says Kanye West is great. Why is Kanye West great? Because Kanye West likes Trump, so therefore, Kanye West is great,” said Jindal.

“He’s an entertainer, but he’s still a narcissist. Like all narcissists, Donald Trump is insecure and weak. He’s afraid of being exposed. That’s why he tells us always and constantly how big and strong and wealthy he is,” Jindal added.

“Look we’ve all met people like Donald Trump who tell us how insignificant everyone else is. We know that only a very weak and small person needs to constantly tell us how strong and powerful they are. Donald Trump believes he is the answer to every question,” he said.

I’m so glad Jindal made these statements.

Clearly he is an establishment politician.

That makes him totally unacceptable to hold an elected office.

I hope Trump comes back with an appropriate Bible verse.

I just turned on BOR and it made me very, very angry. Not once did Eric Bolling (filling in for BOR) say that all these candidates attacked Trump first - in fact, they played a clip of what Trump said when responding to Ben Carson as though he started it - and then played Ben Carson as though he was responding to Trump’s remarks. This is yellow journalism and lying. Fair and balanced - not even in their dreams. They also neglected to say that carly has been taking pot shots at Trump for quite a while This is sickening - just sickening.

Jindal hanged around Yeb! earlier in NH, and with McCain in the past. He is firmly entrenched with the GOPe.

The funniest thing would be to produce something that looks like an old family Bible, whether it is or not... and turn to an inside cover page showing the Trump family name... (even if he has to write it in himself...)

He is at 1%, unless his talking smack operation bumps him up a couple points and he stays there he will be gone by December. He is no RINO so he doesn't have a contingent fund stream as El Yeb does. This is Bobby's one shot at national office (well his backers have convinced him of that) and he is getting a bit desperate. The financial chaos he has left behind in the normally pretty disorganized state budget probably closes off getting a state office again .

Bobby is probably going to be the next “little Indian”.

Lil' ol' Piyush has a great future ahead of him...at this place:

Once undecided about Trump, I am increasingly coming to like him. He has all the right friends -- Senator Cruz, Governor Palin and Our Jim. Likewise, he has the right enemies -- liberals, the state-run lamestream media, Linda Graham, Juan McCain, Yeb Boosh, iCarly FioRINO and now Piyush.

"The reason we know he’s never read the Bible, he’s not in the Bible,” said Jindal.

I always considered Jindal a very intelligent and practical politician, but if he thinks anything positive will come to him after this rant, then I think his judgment is seriously impaired. About all he might get is a few attaboys from the GOPe and some Big Donors. Maybe that’s what he wanted, or maybe he’s imagining a cabinet post in some administration unlikely to ever exist.

It’s like the GOPe sent Rick Perry back to the bench and put Jindal in to throw the fast ball. His insults come fast and hard and he loves the game.

That’s Rupert Murdock’s Fox News slanting for the GOPe.

Jindal became governor at the same time as Obama became the pResident. His term is almost up. Jindal maybe looking for his next career move, and attacking Trump is to enhance his resume with the Establishment.

His insults come fast and hard and he loves the game.

And Trump smacked him down hard with one line.

The old “I’m holier than thou” routine never works. It’s an automatic backfire every time it’s tried.

You’re toast Bobby. And another one bites the dust.

“This (Jindal) is very disappointing.

I don’t think this is who Jindal really is.”

That is also the way I see it. I wonder it he is getting ideas from the GOPe?

I always liked Jindal, but this kind of stuff is beneath him.

Evidently it isn't.

We’re all in the Bible Mr. Jindal.

Evidently you have some reading to do.
