Donald Trump on WDBJ-TV shootings: ‘This isn’t a gun problem; this is a mental problem’
The Washington Times ^ | 08/27/2015 | David Sherfinski

Posted on 08/27/2015 6:00:03 AM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said in the wake of Wednesday morning’s shooting deaths on live TV of a reporter and videographer in Virginia that it isn’t a gun problem but a “mental problem.”

Asked Thursday on CNN’s “New Day” if he would do something different about gun policy, Mr. Trump said: “Well, I don’t think I would, because this is really a sick person. This isn’t a gun problem; this is a mental problem.”

“Frankly, you know, a case like this, he snuck up on ‘em. Whether it was a gun or a knife or whatever it would have been, it would have been something,” Mr. Trump said. “But you know, you’re not going to get rid of all guns, so I know one thing: if you tried to do it, the bad guys would have ‘em, to use an expression, and the good folks would abide by the law. They’d be hopeless and. … it would be a hopeless situation for them, and I think it’s a big mistake.”

>> People will always be able to get guns if they want them bad enough, especially criminals.

Yep. “When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.”

That old saying is bumper-sticker cliché... but absolutely true.

Actually, it is the race baiter’s, Farrakhan, Jackson, Sharpton, Obama, MSNBC, CNN, etc. They are too stupid to factor in the crazies when they go on their whitey rants. They are more to blame for the Charleston church shootings than the confederate flag and that is a fact. Then two white people get shot, when specifically the shooter blames racism, and no one wants to talk about it.

Woulkd that Trump use this event to let American XPians know that there is an epic struggle between good and evil. And, that the Dhimmicrats side on mollifying Evil as equal to Good and thereby, inconsequential (moral relativism).

Do Conservatives mitigate against evil to eliminate it in the “name” of Good? Genesis 1:3-4

Now Mr. Trump...All these mass shooting have been mental problems....and it looks like each of them had warning signs. But that’s not what you’re supposed to notice.

My thoughts exactly.

It is a cultural issue.

This black gay was trained his entire life to see himself as a victim, that he was entitled and not accountable.

It is just the logical conclusion to his socialization.

Its a spiritual problem. This is what the country wants. It has rejected God.

I agree with you. But I was thinking a lot about this yesterday. I feel like maybe things are so much worse because the country has rejected hell.

I mean, when I was a kid, my mom taught me the ten commandments. When she got to "Thou shalt not kill", she said that that is one that you'd go straight to hell for. Then leading into a discussion of what hell was like. We talked about mortal sin and asking for God's forgiveness so we don't spend eternity in hell. It was simplistic talk for a little kid, but effective.

All of my friends knew about hell. We weren't perfect and got into trouble, but we all knew about hell. We all feared it in our own way. I remember watching the movie "Ghost" as a teen and seeing the demons come for the bad guys. A great scene that gave me nightmares.

Culture today either ignores hell all together or reduces it to a simple "state of mind" argument. It is rarer to find people that think of it as a real place. I find myself questioning it often, my imperfect faith goes through ebbs and flows. But I've got that little bitty piece that is ingrained in my conscience that never completely rules out the prospect of an eternity in hell.

It is my little theory that kids are growing up now with absolutely no fear of hell. Even those that might begin their lives being faithful to God, slip up down the road without the fear of hell to push them back in the right direction.

Hypothetically, if I were a scientist and could scientifically prove the basic existence of either God or hell, I wonder which I would choose.

I may be off target, but I happen to think that mental illness is caused by a spiritual problem - have you ever looked into the eyes of someone mentally ill? I used to work at a state hospital, and have looked into many of their eyes -

#BlackLivesMatter perhaps also shares in this general disrespect for the law and civil behavior. This was not only a mental disease, it was a combination of evil spiked with some kind of “revenge” on “Whitie”, and total loss of any moral compass.

It is only a very small step from going after white law enforcement officers, to going after ALL whites who appear to be in prominent positions in the community, and the degree of guilt or innocence has no bearing whatsoever on the matter.

While the 9mm pistol used in the slayings was probably obtained legally, this guy was most likely NOT an NRA member, and felt little constraint in turning the weapon upon other human beings with malice aforethought.

We don’t need more gun control.

We need more black criminal control.

Just to make this clear:

If this black guy had killed two black guys in downtown Roanoke, there would not have been a manhunt. It might have made the 11:00 news. You would not have even known about it.

Just sayin’.

It is rarer to find people that think of it as a real place.

A lot will say that. OTOH, these are the same people who will say, "H-E-Double hockey sticks." Why are they afraid to say "hell"? Deep down, they must believe it's real.

My favorite way to inject religion into everyday life is to simply use hell's name in vain. "What the hell?" "Who the hell did that?" Using "hell" in conversation is still socially acceptable. If the "fear of God" is the beginning of wisdom, then the fear of hell is the beginning of the beginning of wisdom.

In a similar vein, E. Michael Jones wrote a book about modern horror movies. His thesis is that the slasher movie phenomenon is about our repressed knowledge that sexual license is wrong. The victims of the monster are almost always young teenagers engaging in pre-marital sex.

How's this for a Grand Unified Theory of horror: All horror monsters (including aliens, vampires, plagues, and slashers) are the personification of the guilty conscience that punishes unrepentant sinners (especially those who've transgressed God's sexual code). The Monster is Remorse, which author E. Michael Jones defines as regret without repentance.

Jones's interpretive theory of horror is easy enough to apply, especially to what's been called the "have sex and die" cycle of films. Consider Halloween: P.J. Soles engages in premarital sex. She knows that she has violated the moral order, but she suppresses her guilty conscience, thus eschewing repentance. But the guilty conscience never relents, and returns in the personification of Myers. Myers is also Nemesis (another of Jones's metaphors), the Greek goddess of "retributive justice" who restores God's/Nature's moral order to balance. Appropriately, Jamie Lee Curtis, a "good girl," escapes Myers.

Yep. Liberalism is a mental disorder, as is race persecution mania, as is homosexuality. All three are in play here. And at the root of all, as others have commented, it is spiritual.

This is why he’s so far ahead of everybody else. He resonates with those that don’t have blinders on. He called it out - it’s not a gun problem.

Thank you for posting this. It is important that the truth be known, and as I have said many times, “there is nothing ‘gay’ about homosexuals” because every one of them, practically each and every person afflicted with this disorder, exhibits some sort of abnormal behavior.

Back in the day, homosexuality automatically disqualified an individual from obtaining a government security clearance, working with children (hello, Boy Scouts? anybody there?) or obtaining a firearm.

There were solid, scientifically proven reasons for such restrictions, but the events you described swept them all away for the sole purpose of unleashing homosexuality upon society as ‘just another lifestyle choice’ which is 100 percent absolute horseshit.

If the voters are looking for common sense, Trump has it made. I still have problems with his character and temperament for the job, but there’s no denying that he knows how to communicate with voters better than any other candidate. We have to go back to Reagan to find one who had the knack like this one does.

there was an article out a few months ago in which the writer in researching the mass murders, actual or planned, over a ten year span, almost all had a common denominator - they were or had been on psychiatric drugs. Most were on one specific family of medication, name unrecalled.

We need more mental institutions to get the crazies off the street!!

The guy was a homosexual. Homosexuality is a mental illness.

This is THE ISSUE. Not guns.

I thought I heard yesterday that the South Carolina church shooter was also gay, but it is being covered up.

Particularly the black church with their support of abortion/homosexuality.

They teach their children not to have respect for life every time they vote democrat, they crapped on their rich Christian heritage.

Speaking only of the ALL Black Church and yes this is undeniable.
