Its not your fault. Its the ratio.
To all the young, college-educated women out there who feel like Donald Trump will probably become president before they find a decent, eligible man, take comfort.
According to author Jon Birger, youre not imagining things. In Date-onomics: How Dating Became a Lopsided Numbers Game, out today, Birger, a former writer for Fortune and Money magazines, crunched demographic, census and other data to show that it really is historically rough out there for the ladies.

A by-product of the more general self-esteem movement.
Male plumber or female "plumber"???
Well it must be catching there also appears to be a men shortage on Fox News!
Yep. In our bizarro world , fat is synonymous with "real woman" . And they protest too much about their "curves". And post nauseating , inspirational, "chicken soup for the soul" memes about how they deserve a prince and will love with all their heart blah , blah.
Did you do residential or commercial or both?
There will always be a market for trim, in shape women of all ages. Especially if their entitled bitch factor is under control.
Men are renowned as being shallow obsessed with a females looks first and foremost. Well I have found that woman are far more shallow and have strict rules about the type of guy that is desirable. There are sever height restrictions place on men, baldness is an issue also and no women will admit to that.
It’s “fat acceptance.” They think more guys should be willing to harpoon these land whales.
If I had it to do over again (I’m already retired) I’d become a plumber or an electrician.
Good money, plenty of jobs.
It's more than that. Women are indoctrinated that they can have a "Sex and the City" lifestyle in their 20's, banging all the exciting "bad boys" who are willing to have sex with them (but not interested in marrying them).
They then expect that, when they turn 30, some guy is going to show up willing to marry their high-mileage butts.
Surprise!
Ladies, if you want a high-quality man, the time to snag him is when you are in your EARLY 20's. A 22 year old woman going after a 30 year old man has a big competitive advantage over the 30-year-old women.
Either one.
That looks like a fascinating book.
Clearly all here believe as do I, that feminism has poisoned the well of male/female relationships in general.
Men have all the risk, and everything to lose, and women are being taught to despise everything that makes a strong male; Money maker, athletic or other achievements being honored, and the concept of honor in general is particularly despised by the feminist. Indeed our culture today has no concept of honor, self sacrifice for the family and better good, and achievement.
So everyone is disillusioned, men are withdrawing, women don’t understand men, and only understand that they can get men’s attention by being promiscuous.
My son is a prime example. He barely found it necessary to finish highschool, only dated women that threw themselves at him, finally got certified as a welder, but doesn’t see the need to go where the high paying jobs are. His attitude is “why?? “
Sadly, John Wayne, being a ‘hero’ for at least your family, and any sense of ‘honor’ is truly dead in this country. And it is burning down from the core out.
Its fat acceptance. They think more guys should be willing to harpoon these land whales.
Nice one! That is hilarious!
I have noticed this, but it is more of a demand than an enticement to find fat sexy, as if the overweight feminist can dictate what a male finds attractive.
As if they can change a simple real fact that men don’t find fat sexy simply by demanding that it is.
Delusion? or Denial?
For some reason if find that amusing! And it should be a reality check for the woman considering what the feminist is selling.
Pony girl, I was married 3 times. The first 2 I asked out. The last one came up to me at work (After the 2nd marriage ended)and asked if I would take her to a wedding. She didn’t tell me it was her’s. We’re almost 40 years together now.(And to top it all, she’s a rarity, a Mrs Cleaver in this day and age!!)
