Its not your fault. Its the ratio.
To all the young, college-educated women out there who feel like Donald Trump will probably become president before they find a decent, eligible man, take comfort.
According to author Jon Birger, youre not imagining things. In Date-onomics: How Dating Became a Lopsided Numbers Game, out today, Birger, a former writer for Fortune and Money magazines, crunched demographic, census and other data to show that it really is historically rough out there for the ladies.

Because women have been graduating from college in 30-plus percent greater numbers than men for years, there are now four women for every three men nationally in the marriage-age, college-educated dating market, Birger says.

Isn't that evidence of anti-male bias gender-based discrimination?
Where's the Title IX lawsuit for men?
Gee whiz, that's all of less than a year and 5 months.
So only “college-educated” men are considered good potential mates? Do women realize how much a successful plumber makes?
There have been more girls born than boys since forever.
Good point.
I just think it’s part of the ‘War on Boys’ movement. Make normal boy behavior something drugs are prescribed to treat (the b.s. ADHD diagnosis).
There’s an all out assault on men in the country.
The disparity, so say Leftists, in results demonstrates the bias.
The reason for this is there are many traditionally male occupations that pay as well as, or better than, many jobs requiring a BA.
Why rack up student load debt to make less money...and waste 4 years.
In many instances college makes more sense for women than it does for men. They rarely are interested in high pay blue collar male occupations.
No.
No what?
At my major tech firm, about one third of the department is white or Hispanic, one third Indian, and one third Asian. This is stateside. It’s that way up the chain of command and the women have the ‘lead/planning’ roles (no grunt work). The black men I see either work clerical or administrative roles.
Chance for advancement is slim and the pay is below industry scale. Contracted firm working within another corporation.
White male privilege? I don’t see it in today’s America.
Because women have been graduating from college in 30-plus percent greater numbers than men for years, there are now four women for every three men nationally in the marriage-age, college-educated dating market...IOW, single moms on public assistance find it easier to get a college education, and then don't want to marry anyone who wouldn't marry a Kardashian.
Real men are conservative. Period.
Smash the patriarchy
Smash the establishment
The same culture war they raged for half a century.

It’s a matter of supply and demand. If the ladies would quit putting out for lazy, selfish, immature guys, the guys would straighten up in no time. They need to srop rewarding bad behaviour.
This is how it is supposed to work: Men, you wear pants. You earn a living and provide for your family. Women, you wear dresses. You nurture and teach your children. And Hillary, you look fugly in a pant suit.
There aren’t enough plumbers to meet the need.
“Do women realize how much a successful plumber makes?”
The biggest demotivator of women, besides marijuana use, is the birth of their first child. Work/career becomes less important.
“there are now four women for every three men nationally in the marriage-age, college-educated dating market,”
Well God forbid some woman realize her liberal arts degree and Peace corps year in Africa doesn’t make her too educated to enjoy life with a decent hard working man whom she would refer to as “blue collar”.
I’ve owned a home for 30+ years and I’ve called a plumber one time. I do my own handy work. It aint rocket science.
