Trump: I wanted Bush impeached (2008)
CNN ^ | October 15th, 2008 | Alexander Mooney

Posted on 08/25/2015 10:21:05 AM PDT by justlittleoleme

Business mogul Donald Trump told CNN Wednesday House Speaker Nancy Pelosi should have sought to impeach President Bush when she had the chance.

In an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer, Trump said the president and his administration deliberately lied about the Iraq war, and congressional Democrats missed an opportunity to impeach him when the party took control of Congress in 2006.

"I was surprised that she didn't do more in terms of Bush and going after Bush," Trump said. "It was almost - it just seemed like she was going to really look to impeach Bush and get him out of office, which personally I think would have been a wonderful thing."

Pressed why he feels Bush deserved the punishment faced by only two other commanders-in-chief, Trump said the president misled the country in the run-up to the Iraq war, and that his actions were considerably more objectionable than those which led to the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton.

"He lied. He got us into the war with lies," Trump said. And I mean - look at the trouble Bill Clinton got into with something that was totally unimportant. And they tried to impeach him, which was nonsense. And yet Bush got us into this horrible war with lies, by lying, by saying they had weapons of mass destruction, by saying all sorts of things that turned out not to be true."

Yeah, seriously.

I read the Bush administration reports released by the Iraq Survey Group. Apparently people now know, or think they know, of weapons that the ISG either didn't find or didn't include in their report.

You can find the Comprehensive Report at the CIA's website. The Key Findings tell you what the group was able to confirm about each of Iraq's WMD programs.

My memory of the report is that their nuclear, chemical, and biological programs had all been seriously degraded by the first Gulf War and were no longer functioning. The WMDs we did find were stockpiles of chemical artillery shells. Iraq had a huge number of such shells and they were scattered in ammo dumps all over the country.

I see math is a challenge for you. Duly noted.

Your hatred is unbecoming and I’d ask that you stop attacking as I was simply showing the math. Too hard to do? Not my problem.

I have no problems with math. Nor are your personal attacks of any consequence. And you can make any request of me you please but I will not stop talking about Liberal Donald Trump in this conservative forum. If that’s not to your liking, tough.

You’re quite entertaining. How horrid life must be for those who harbor such hatred. Heck, I’ve learned to dismiss barry vs. hating him. It makes life so much more tolerable.

You really are dense. I have never said I hated anyone, certainly not Donald Trump. I like that he has been taking it to the media, and that he has brought the immigration debate to the fore. But I do not support him for the Republican nomination because he is a liberal.

I realize you lack the fundamental ability to comprehend as evidenced by your last two posts. So if you are still struggling to get it, and you no doubt are, have someone else explain that to you, you're just not worth any more of my time.

Is this true or just a rumor. That being said, W. is the most failed Republican President since Richard Nixon, who was the most failed Republican President since Herbert Hoover. All three did great damage to the Republican Party.

It made matters worse having incompetent RINO leadership in Congress followed by moonbat Democrat control (in the latter case, for which Dubya was happy to go along with rather than fight).

Nixon looks like Alexander the Great next to W. and Hoover.
