For those of you who are unfamiliar with him, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn is a the best selling author of both "The Harbinger" and "The Mystery of the Shemitah."
Cahn is a Messianic Jew, and a devoted man of God.
I believe what he speaks is prophetic, and his words echo sound and true.
The dire warnings to America he spoke of our nation's race towards Godlessness (and looming judgment) in "The Harbinger" are eerily coming to pass.
Even more dire, Cahn has discovered that the ancient Shemitah cycle of 7 years that God ordained in Leviticus also follows recent patterns in America indicating economic and other calamity at the end of the Shemitah for a nation that walks away from God. What the Lord intended as a blessing every 7 years becomes a curse and judgment for the nations that curse the Almighty.
This coming end of Shemitah is also a "Super Shemitah", meaning that it ends a pattern of seven (a number God uses to mean completion) Shemitahs of 49 years, ending in the Biblical year of Jubliee.
We also have the last of the Blood Moons coming in September, and this will be a "Super Moon", closer to the earth and appearing about 14% greater in size (full perigee) and 25 times brighter than a micro moon.
Rabbi Cahn's message is about 13 minutes long, and located HERE.
It is all not doom and gloom, but full of wisdom, encouragement, and prudence. I urge anyone reading this to watch it.
Cahn reminds us that God does not have to act, that is up to Him, and His timing. However, the wise heed advice, and prepare. Spiritually first, and then physically.
Blessings.
Yes. For me the book “1980’s, Countdown to Armageddon” was the book I read and accepted the Lord into my heart after reading it. But Hal proved he was human with the book I mentioned. I follow no man. I follow Christ.
...but it does feel like something is going on. We must prepare and keep our eyes and heart on Him.
I don’t trust anyone who gives the exact day and hour.
I’ve found every one of them to be wrong.
However, there most certainly is going to be a lot of very unusual political happenings lining up to happen in this time frame. Enough to give the guy’s warnings some credibility.
Read the link in post 24 if you have not already.
It reads like a Left Behind novel....
I’m with you on the whole post. I’m all over this stuff Cahn is talking about and have been since before I ever heard of him. What makes him unique is his use of scripture to set a particular date, and so precisely. And the only thing, according to him, that can put off this date is America repenting. And nobody is seeing that happen.
So yes, my tag line sez it all where I’m coming from and, truth be told, I mention Obama not so much because he is a factor, but because it indicates my own timing of events. I believe that we are in the calm before the storm and despots are making their plans against us - to be implemented before Obama is replaced.
I used to say we are in for a VERY INTERESTING 18 months. Well, the first of them HAVE been very interesting. The remaining 16 will be more so. Exponentially so. Regardless of whether Cahn is right or wrong. IMO
What lie was that in his book?
i never read the book but would like to know anyway.
The more short term nature of his predictions is in his favor, along with the fact that he’s not too vague, as many of these false prophets tend to be, so that they can claim their stuff was fulfilled and nobody can dispute it.
One thing in that article reminded me of something very comical that I witnessed:
The first business day after Y2K “didn’t happen”, my wife and I went to Costco. The returns line was more busy than after Christmas. What was funny was what was being returned. The funny high volume items that I noticed were:
1. Gas powered generators.
2. Peanut butter
3. Family sized bags of snack chips.
I confess that I ended up with a few hundred lbs of bagged beans, etc. But I didn’t return any of it. I eventually ate it all.
That’s good. because too many people are on the prophecy bandwagon these days.
I guess tongues is not the gift du jour any more.
Too many people have it and it’s no longer the elitist thing to do.
The experience junkies need something new to feel special about.

Yom Kippur begins at sundown on Tuesday, September 22, and ends at nightfall on Wednesday, September 23, 2015The purpose of Yom Kippur is to bring about reconciliation between people and between individuals and God. According to Jewish tradition, it is also the day when God decides the fate of each human being. An Amazing Shofar Ram's Horn Service Rabbi Jonathan Ginsburg
That’s funny. I hope in Oct you will have the same experience: )
Thank you. His name is Daniel. I will pray for yours also.
you got em....
I’m finding I want to be home all the time....we did travel this summer and we’ll take a short trip this week for a few days....our 40th anniversary is coming up and honestly, I don’t know if we should go anywhere...
maybe somebody can answer this....can a Christian attend Jewish services?....
I absoultely agreed. I don't understand it as well, but I believe the Holy Spirit is at work, prompting those who belong to Christ to get ready and to act.
"Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope." 1 Thessalonians 4:13
"Constantly be on your guard so that your hearts will not be loaded down with self-indulgence, drunkenness, and the worries of this life, or that day will take you by surprise."Luke 21:34
"6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness." 2 Thessalonians 2: 6-12
Bless you. God's timing is always perfect. What others may consider small and insignificant, you and I know are manifestations of His mighty hand in our lives.
He knows the struggles, and He knows us all better than we know ourselves.
Simple faith thrilled Him!
"8 The centurion replied, Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, Go, and he goes; and that one, Come, and he comes. I say to my servant, Do this, and he does it. 10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith."Matthew 8: 8-10
Keep your faith, and He will never fail you or yours! Good advice that I need to follow myself too!!
I think we are coming to great, historic change in America very soon. Those who always relied on their money to serve as the bell weather of their value as a human being will need to re-evaluate. It is not our money that determines our worth before God, it is our humility, our repentence, and our love of the Son.
Cahn is a Messianic Jew, and he embraces his status and station as a Jew. The Jews are still God's chosen and special people, unless you have bought onto the false and destructive teaching of Replacement Theology.
We are living in the time of Gentiles.
Consider Romans 11: 17-26
"17 If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18 do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in. 20 Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either. 22 Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. 23 And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24 After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree! 25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, 26 and in this way all Israel will be saved."
Those of us who are Gentiles, and have been grafted on the branch through the redeeming power of Christ are now part of God's family. But just because the Jews for the most part have rejected Christ as the Messiah does not mean God is finished with His chosen, nor does it mean that once the time of Gentiles is fulfilled He will not turn His attention back to Israel. In fact, that is what happens during Revelation.
Jesus was also called "Rabbi", and he was. Teacher. Cahn is right to embrace who he is, and who God made him. But, the main difference with Cahn is he accepts Christ as the Messiah, the only way to avoid Hell, and be saved.
There are other "cults" as it were that preach a "new Jewishness" and other nonsense. These are to be avoided. Cahn is not part of that movement. He is believer in Yeshua.
The followers of Jesus called him “ Rabbi” , teacher
I am just about 2/3 way through John Hagee’s book “Four Blood Moons: Something is about to Happen”
” There will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” Luke 21
