Turns out the Mexican government isn't so keen on Donald Trump's assertion that he will make Mexico pay for a wall along America's southern border.
"Of course it's false," a spokesman for Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto said of Trump's claim in a Bloomberg interview published Wednesday. "It reflects an enormous ignorance for what Mexico represents, and also the After firestorm over his comments about illegal immigrants, GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump travels to the U.S.-Mexico border. CBS News C... Trump, a billionaire businessman who's seeking the Republican presidential nomination, has said repeatedly that the U.S. must build a wall to keep illegal immigrants from crossing the U.S.-Mexico border.
But America won't pay for this wall, according to Trump -Mexico will.
"We're gonna get the wall built...and Mexico's gonna pay for the wall," Trump said Tuesday at a news conference. "And they're gonna be happy about it...because the cost of the wall is peanuts compared to the kind of money they're making. Mexico is becoming the new China."
Trump, who holds a big lead in early polls of the Republican primary field, has made immigration one of the chief focuses of his campaign, inciting controversy with his inflammatory remarks on the subject.

“Its not like they can defend themselves very well, considering half their country is in the U.S.”
The other half is trying to avoid extortion by their drug gangs.
When it comes to foreign trade he is.
In Arizona we get 500,000 illegals a year and no one stops them. A wall would be awesome.
Just like the "Maginot Line", just go around it.
I've been in the Cruz camp since day one.
Trust me, there’s more than one way to skin that cat!
Somehow I think they’d pay for it without even realizing it.
A good negotiator would now UP the price and tell the Mexicans no wall, ok now you have to pay illegal welfare too.
Mexico’s problems run deep. Their biggest problem is multiple drug cartels that are very much against the place ever getting fixed. 1000 Americans trying to fix it will be 1000 corpses inside a year.
Considering the US Government gives Mexico a half a billion dollars a year in aid, not to mention the billion in US business being done in Mexico by US corporations. I think it would be very easy to have them pay for it.
Obama was an empty slate also, and here we are.
Yeah, why not! Recently someone said we should toss the Constitution and install Trump as a dictator so he could really get things done.
This is becoming lunacy of the highest order.
Mexico could pull a “Castro” and nationalize every American-owned business in Mexico???
LOL! The Marxist Crime Syndicate is concerned. HOORAY Trump.
Over $20 billion was sent to Mexico from the United States in 2014.
Charge a 15% fee on the money sent to Mexico each year.
That will work out to $3 billion dollars per years. That’s $30 billion in a decade.
We should be able to build a pretty good wall for that.
It will be the first contribution many illegals have made to the U. S.
And yes, Mexico, you will pay for it. Reduce US Corp tax rates and impose tariffs on anything coming from Mexico and increase duties on Mexico-bound vacationers...and you will pay for it.
Your move Donald. This should be good.Really? You think he's going to disclose how it could be done AND it CAN BE DONE.
Just because the Mexicans can't think of a way doesn't mean there isn't a way.
BTW Mexico, How's the plan for that new Ford plant going?
¡Si, Mexico represents sending it's freeloading illegals over AND taking in lots of American $$$$$...so, we see why you don want dee wall, ese!
So you are fine with ignoring the Constitution, as long as it's for a cause that is important to you. How does that make you any different than Obama and the Dems?
You're dead on. They can't conceive of a POTUS who will actively pursue the interests of the United States--it's been so long. They could get used to it in a hurry.
