Fox News Megyn Kelly opened up for the first time this morning about all the criticism she and Fox have gotten about last weeks Republican debate, talking with MediaBuzz host Howard Kurtz.
And, basically, she took the high road, not necessarily singling out Trump but instead defending her tough questions and saying, If you cant get past me, how are you gonna handle Vladimir Putin.
She explained that the goal was, for every candidate, to drill down to their most vulnerable areas and then give them a chance to explain them because these same things will most definitely resurface in the general election.
Kelly anticipated a few boos (which they got), but said of all the criticism, Its okay, Im a big girl. I can take it. Furthermore, she made it clear she didnt want her male co-moderators being her white knights in case she came under attack.
As for supposed gotcha questions, Kelly said, I dont think that my history as a journalist supports bias on my part towards either party
When I'm ticking off both sides, Im in my sweet spot.

Just noticed I spelled the bimbo’s name wrong.
But what difference does it make?
After all....
she’s still a bimbo.
It’s not that he or we can’t get past you, Zippo.
It’s that you can’t get past you.
“Shut up, Meg.”
Well put, RetSignman.
[Shut up, Meg.]
That cracks me up every time I hear it.
Trump would handle Putin just fine. He’s already made it clear he isn’t interested in stopping Russia from invading more of Eastern Europe, and thinks he’d get along great with Putin, which is likely since he’s willing to hand over Europe to the guy.
Proves out point, doesn't it? She's thinking with her vagina.
Replace Mega Bimbo with Laura Ingraham and maybe I’ll return to watching again. So over the arrogant blondie. MSLDS can have her.
Very funny and spot on!
I’m sure Putin wouldn’t ask Donald about Rosie O’Donnell either.
I think the reason is this. Megyn Kelly is, by many mens standards, attractive. There is an important social dynamic in our society: call it chivalry, white knighting, whatever. It states that pretty women are VERY used to men rushing to be nice to them, because, well, If Im nice to her, it...it *could* happen. Or, in a more misandrist light, men are incapable of thinking with more than one head at the same time. I believe that Megyn Kelly has grown so used to being treated in this way and so used to taking advantage of it that she accepted it as automatic, something that just *is*, like the sun going down at night. (Yeah, tell me thats subliminal, you turkeys. If I had written sun rising in the morning youd have accused me of the same thing.) But what she forgot is that Donald Trump is a billionaire who has already had sex with, and married, and had children with, women who were far more attractive than she is. Far more attractive than she even was in her prime. So it never occurred to her that Donald would be anything but bedazzled by her looks: and she had no Plan B for when that fell through.
from the following:
Megan, that would have been a good question;
Mr Trump, how would you deal with Putin?
Instead of the inane questions you asked, wouldn’t this be better topic to debate?
Yep...exactly...
Such an intellect. I think Jeb! had the same talking point.
Rupert must have done a group email blast.
Trump. Cruz. Carson. Fiorina. Winners in order. Post debate poll.
Sweet spot has nothing to do with her vagina. Please, you have pussy on your brain and cannot get past that. So she bruised and battered poor little Donald. Donald needs dust himself off and move beyond calling Meghan Kelly calling anymore names. Soon Donald will have more enemies than friends. I do not believe that FOX ganged up on Trump, it is all fair in Politics. Donald attacks others and belabors their weaknesses , why not expose Trump for what he is too.
LOL
