According to sore loser laws in the state of Ohio, any candidate who has chosen their party essentially cant, at the last minute, run on a third-party ticket in the state.
With Ohio being a crucial swing state, thats a massive hurdle for team Trump to overcome, should they wish to run a third-party candidacy in the future.
Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted and his spokesman, Joshua Eck, have already decided that due to the fact Trump voluntarily participated in the Republican primary debate in the state of Ohio, hes already declared himself a Republican in the eyes of Ohio law and chosen a party for this election cycle.
Legal experts said that mounting a third-party run is a daunting, close-to-impossible, expensive challenge, according to USA Today.
Trump, should he proceed with his third-party option, would likely have to challenge laws like Ohios sore loser law in court, mount massive grassroots campaigns in all 50 states to get on the ballot and spend even more of his own money in a process that political experts believe would hand the election to Democrats on a silver platter.
But then again, this is Donald Trump a candidate who has single-handedly changed the campaign in a matter of a few months.
His fierce anti-establishment platform has garnered unprecedented support from what his campaign calls a silent majority, so its really not a surprise that hes insistent on using his third-party threat as leverage thats what deal-makers do.
What are your thoughts? Sound off on Facebook and Twitter if you think Trump would be foolish to run on a third-party ticket or if you think he should continue to use it for leverage against the establishment.

Right, but the implication is that the rest will support the nominee. Even if Trump.
I think the RNC will command the delegates not to vote for Trump, should he win. They don’t care that the base will revolt.
Speaking of vibes, that's a classic retread type of comeback.
As they say on the interwebs, "You haz a smell.....is a weeerd smell."
Enjoy your stay, bub. It's only a matter of time until we figure out who you really are.
Easy to get around. Just run someone as a surrogate who, if he wins the state, will direct his electors to vote for Trump. It is actually the electors chosen in the states, not the general population, that votes for the president.
“Im suspected of being pissant apparently lol. I am not but if you want to try to crucify me based on one Freepers innane suspicions, by all means have at me.”
z taxman: Just having joined FR this year means you are going to be eyed with a great deal of suspicion as a fake conservative troll.
You need a good explanation for why you have just joined the fight.
You also need to prove yourself over time. We do not yet have much of a track record to judge your conservatism by.
As I found out later on as well, z taxman suffered a Viking Kitty Aneurism shortly after arrival.
He has passed on to that great DUmp in the dirt.
Too bad - So sad - Bye! -

Wants Trump, not Cruz.....
Trump is —not— a conservative; see this comparison:

Jim, that was my immediate reaction. Never mind Trump at the moment... Where in the Constitution does it enshrine the rule of parties? Does no one read Washington's farewell address any more? Oh, right, that's old history made by rich white men, that doesn't count.
Maybe there's a way that law can be changed. It's horribly against original principles.
Actually, it strikes me as an ohio resident that our primary is late. If Trump is ahead or in the running and has been treated fairly, then he holds a primary run in Ohio. If he isn’t treated fairly, he’ll know early, so he withdraws his name from a run in Ohio. Then he has not run in Ohio, so is not invalidated from a 3rd party run. In fact, even if leading he could skip ohio to leverage any shenanigans at the convention.
I sure called that one. Even had words with the troll over Freepmail and told it to enjoy its short stay.
Any idea of what the troll's former screen name was?
Clarify “Last Minute”.
This is that “sore loser” thing I told you about.
I’m still here.
I don’t know what his endgame is.
He is not going to get elected POTUS, and he is losing business.
