I have tried to give a great deal of latitude to Donald Trump in his run for the Presidency.
He is not a professional politician and is known for being a blunt talker. He connects with so much of the anger in the Republican base and is not afraid to be outspoken on a lot of issues. But there are even lines blunt talkers and unprofessional politicians should not cross.
Decency is one of those lines.
As much as I do personally like Donald Trump, his comment about Megyn Kelly on CNN is a bridge too far for me.
In a CNN interview, Mr. Trump said of Megyn Kelly, You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.
It was not the blood coming out of her eyes part that was the problem.

I think that is true. And Ive been very sympathetic to Donald Trump because so many of the people who have led the party astray refuse to even treat him as a legitimate candidate.
But I also think that while Mr. Trump resonates with a lot of people with his bluntness, including me to a degree, there are just real lines of decency a person running for President should not cross.
His comment was inappropriate. It is unfortunate to have to disinvite him. But I just dont want someone on stage who gets a hostile question from a lady and his first inclination is to imply it was hormonal. It just was wrong.
I have invited Megyn Kelly to attend in Donald Trumps place tomorrow night.

“....During the debate, Kelly also referenced a boardroom scene from Trump’s NBC’s realty show, Celebrity Apprentice, in which Trump was told by one contestant that a female teammate had gotten down on her knees to beg.
‘That must be a pretty picture, you dropping to your knees,’ Trump said in response.
In the book, Trump declared that ‘All the women on The Apprentice flirted with me consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected.’
And he had this to say about women’s victories on the show: ‘It’s certainly not groundbreaking news that the early victories by the women on The Apprentice were, to a very large extent, dependent on their sex appeal’.
On some occasions Trump appears to have recognized he’s gone too far. In April, he retweeted, then deleted, a tweet that read ‘If Hillary Clinton can’t satisfy her husband what makes her think she can satisfy America?’....

Why the heterosexist philanderer, how dare he!
Tell it nasty, tell it nice, but Trump is telling the truth. That can’t be dodged, regardless of meta-questions about how it is couched.
Mark Levin addressed this tonight & had the woman referenced in the alleged comment on tape. It was a fabrication & had nothing to do with sexual innuendo.
Maybe Levin will address the other Trump remarks quoted in that excerpt.

Perhaps EE will become another Chris Mathews?
(I still wonder why Howie Carr was dropped off the guest host list)
Inviting her to a red state? I thought she was already in one
Inviting her to a red state? What kind of veiled sexism remark is that?
we have a term for guys like Mr. Erickson here in Hawaii : ‘ manini bastard ‘ - small minded insignificant little fish ...
Who the hell are you? Screw you and the Bush you rode in on. Megyn Kelly deserved worse than she got and you sound like as much of a Bushbot as she is.
Another RINO Establishment prostitute.
A hand wringing pansy apparently...
Hi to you too.
I dare you to listen to that entire CNN interview.
Trump is an emotional trainwreck.
You want this man to be the President of the United States?
He also subs for some people on radio sometimes, and does commentary on cable. I find his voice very annoying, so bad, he should just be a voice actor in cartoons. He also is a squishy “conservative.”
Theres a time for mud too and frankly Donald walks clear of it afterward pretty well.
Bock bock chickens.
Thank you. Always nice to read behind the scenes anecdotes of celebrities/politicians.
Erickson is mistaken
Did someone post an excerpt? I’ll bet The Right Scoop will have one or some.
Tonight was a rare treat for me. DH had it on his computer. I’ve never been able to make it work on mine.
It was a good show, CW. He opened with the point that we should be talking about the issues, but everyone was talking & all up in arms over this silly business instead. :-) He’s always good.
BTW, that was an enormous gesture posting EE’s positive comments on Trump from that early article. I know you support Scott Walker. He has his stuff like they all do, but I think he comports himself very, very well.
You read my mind. I was just putting this together:
