I have tried to give a great deal of latitude to Donald Trump in his run for the Presidency.
He is not a professional politician and is known for being a blunt talker. He connects with so much of the anger in the Republican base and is not afraid to be outspoken on a lot of issues. But there are even lines blunt talkers and unprofessional politicians should not cross.
Decency is one of those lines.
As much as I do personally like Donald Trump, his comment about Megyn Kelly on CNN is a bridge too far for me.
In a CNN interview, Mr. Trump said of Megyn Kelly, You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.
It was not the blood coming out of her eyes part that was the problem.

I think that is true. And Ive been very sympathetic to Donald Trump because so many of the people who have led the party astray refuse to even treat him as a legitimate candidate.
But I also think that while Mr. Trump resonates with a lot of people with his bluntness, including me to a degree, there are just real lines of decency a person running for President should not cross.
His comment was inappropriate. It is unfortunate to have to disinvite him. But I just dont want someone on stage who gets a hostile question from a lady and his first inclination is to imply it was hormonal. It just was wrong.
I have invited Megyn Kelly to attend in Donald Trumps place tomorrow night.

Who in Hell is Erick Erickson?
This is satire, right? Kinda like the bait and switch.
So now Trump will have to arrange a meeting of the people somewhere else?
I think if it comes down to The Media and establishment repubs shunning Trump, they are out for a rude awakening.
I think this guy is going to find a lot people not coming if Trump is not there.
This is a ploy so that you don’t ask that question next time. Like Linda Graham calling him a jackass.
A Minneapolis GOP commentator.
Here is why you’re confused - Cincinatus’ Wife - please help “euripides-eumenides” understand what’s going on with RedState.
thanks.
“Who in Hell is Erick Erickson?”
some GOPe slave pretending to be a conservative who runs a website which also supposedly leans right but masquerades as one as well
sounds like someone is a tad butt hurt
Hey Erick! Nobody gives a damn!
Erick who? What a white-knight maroon. Maybe Megyn will blow you a kiss. Or something.
> Who in Hell is Erick Erickson?
A leftist pretending to be a righty? Hell its getting harder to tell because so many of the leftists are brazen liars nowadays. They even set up faux Tea Party pages on Facebook to get uninformed voters to vote for their RINO candidate instead of a true conservative. I know of at least 2 sites that were put up in 2014 for that purpose. They usually put them up a few months ahead of the elections so they’re not as suspicious.
Where is the equity in treating a woman differently than a man? Trump is an equal opportunity insulter.
I suppose Trump could cross over by calling her an oaf. But we all know what was meant.
Hasn’t Erickson been bashing Trump from the beginning? Boo hoo

I guess Murdock’s plan to knock him off is being farmed out.
Is this a joke! Trump was in my opinion saying that she had rage in her eyes. This is so stupid!
Trump’s allowing us to see all the elites without their masks. Exposed Fox well & good for the frauds they are....interesting times, folks.
This whole internet-everything atmosphere is getting to be a bit much. They seem to think they control the world, but it is really only the airheads that stay stuck to their iPads.
