OSKALOOSA, IowaDonald Trump said there was no cap in the amount of money he would be willing to put into his campaign for the Republican nomination for president if his message continues to resonate with voters.
Speaking at a free-wheeling press conference following a rally in this city east of Des Moines, Mr. Trump also attacked Republican rivals Jeb Bush and Scott Walker and Democrat Hillary Clinton with accusations that they were beholden to wealthy donors.
Mr. Trump, a real-estate developer and television personality, has almost entirely self-financed his campaign so far.
Bush is controlled by those people. Walker is controlled by those people. Hillary Clinton is controlled by those people. Trump has none of those people, he said Saturday afternoon. Im not controlled. I do whats right for the people.
Mr. Trump was particularly pointed in his attacks of Mr. Walker. He criticized the Wisconsin governors handling of his states economy and accused him of flip-flopping his stance on the Common Core education standards.
I said hey now, the gloves are off, said Mr. Trump, who called the fundraiser a stupid person.
A spokeswoman for Mr. Walkers campaign didnt immediately respond to a request for comment.
Mr. Trump spoke before more than 1,000 people who gathered for a family picnic and speech that his campaign sponsored. Attendees filled the auditorium of the citys high school and spilled into a space in the neighboring middle school, with 1,300 people registering to attend, a campaign official said.

Cruz. I think he needs some more experience before he steps into the Prez position.
Which makes me wonder just how much of his personal fortune has he had to use to get to this point? Maybe he's spending far less of his money than we assume.
Also, as his momentum builds, I would think that a lot of donations will start flowing his way.
Cruz just took $15 million from two brothers in Texas.....who is he owned by?
Not always, but at least people like Trump can not be bought and be at the command and control of lobbyists and rich donors.
All other 15 candidates are not independently rich like Trump, but since they depend on their rich donor sugar daddy's to stay in the campaign, they ARE ALSO RUN BY THE VERY RICH.
I agree, it’s a conundrum. But as I stated before, I think the answer is reducing the costs for running for the office.
Yes. Trump is making the leftist Democrat argument about “money in politics”.
Yes. I like much of what she’s said on media appearances, but she is RINO GOPe through and though.
(And she sells cell phones under the alias Connie).

What? No $10,000 a plate dinners for Trump? I’d hate to pay for a hot dog and a coke for a thousand people, Trump pays for a picnic for them.
Are you unaware of the limits on donations Democrats have pushed and pushed (which amount to limits on speech) for decades using the exact same reasoning you presented.
Trump s, unfortunately, furthering the Democrat narrative with these comments.
“since they depend on their rich donor sugar daddy’s to stay in the campaign, they ARE ALSO RUN BY THE VERY RICH.”
What’s wrong with the very rich? Trump is very rich.
Trump didn’t say anything about Walker, AFAIK, until now after a Walker person called Trump “dumb dumb”.
Walker ought to fire him or have him apologize.
Unless Walker wants to go against Trump, like Perry, Graham, Bush, rather than use Trump, like Cruz, Fiorina.
For instance: Ted Cruz took $15mil from domestic energy producers.
That's the very best class of donors. Their interests coincide with America First interests.
But those folks in manufacturing, banking, services and retail etc. are interested in cheap labor (illegals) and open, unfettered trade.
Just look at the political and commercial interests of the donors and you'll know who wants to sell America and who wants to build America.
And that is THE principal issue of this campaign.
At this moment in time—yes.
Got to have Bolton in there somewhere.
“it’s now necessary to judge a candidate by WHO their donors are”
Yes. I’d say it has always been the case and has always been the conservative position in opposition to the Democrat regarding “money in politics” and “campaign finance reform”.
Well, that’s certainly a few echelons above where I’ve previously serviced. Thanks Dave.
That is a rediculous statement. My son who is six has three hundred dollars in his dresser, dad may only have two bucks in his wallet but can access a lot more than three hundred.
On the off chance that this bufoon is elected, I guess it would be eight more years of a thin-skinned president.
The fellow is a fundraiser, not staff. You don’t”fire”your fundraisers. In fact, you try not to annoy them.
No way! Shes a total idiot! HP was run into the ground with her as CEO.

I agree. And the merger with Compaq wasn't too bright, either. It was negative synergy, something the government seems to create too much of.
