A local Texas union of Border Patrol officers announced Thursday it was pulling out of a scheduled meeting with Donald Trump, who is making a high-profile trip to the U.S.-Mexico border.
The Republican presidential candidate announced the trip a day earlier as he tries to draw attention to illegal immigration and border security, saying he was "invited by the Border Patrol" because "I'm speaking up."

He said the border with Mexico is "not secure," and an "honest discussion" is needed with the American people. But he expressed concern that a meeting with Trump would have been portrayed as an endorsement.
"As Local 2455, our intentions to meet with Mr. Trump was to provide a 'Boots on the Ground' perspective to not only Mr. Trump, but to the media that would be in attendance at this event," he said. "Just to be clear, an endorsement was never discussed for any presidential candidate. Local 2455 does not endorse candidates for any political office. For these reasons, Local 2455 will not participate in any events with Mr. Trump."
Absolutely they were threatened. One of them probably woke up to a horse head in his/her bed.

With such a clear cut and concise excuse about potential misperceptions of said meeting with a Presidential Candidate adding further that it isn’t local-whatever’s long standing (apparently, now) of not endorsing anyone for office, one wonders how the ‘meeting’ ever got scheduled in the first place.
Accordingly, I am eager to see the first enterprising fact-finding ‘journalist’ that investigate local-whatever’s past actions on candidate funding, et al have or have not occurred.
IOW, I’m disposed to calling “shenanigans!” as South Park would say.
The men were likely pressured. Trump is putting a spotlight on a very important issue and it is a damn shame the border guards feel the force not to talk.
They could OPENLY and REPEATEDLY say in their appearance with Trump, “We thank you for hearing us, but we cannot endorse. We invite OTHER CANDIDATES to come hear our story.”

Richard Trumka is a terrorist. His UMWA activities in ‘88/’89 in southwest Virginia by today’s standards were terrorist in nature
