A federal judge Tuesday blocked a scheduled deposition of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, in a civil lawsuit that claims the Clinton Foundation operated as a criminal organization.
The conservative watchdog group Freedom Watch, which brought the lawsuit against the Clintons, had scheduled separate video-taped depositions for them next week.
U.S. District Court Judge Donald Middlebrooks granted a protective order requested by the Clintons lawyers that blocked the depositions until the court resolves their pending motion to dismiss the case and halt discovery. The judges order did not include the reasoning for his decision.
The case, filed by Freedom Watch founder and former federal prosecutor Larry Klayman alleges the Clintons committed criminal violations under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), and that Mrs. Clinton covered up the crimes destroying her personal emails sent during her time as Secretary of State.
She would have given a deposition on the morning of July 28 in Washington, and Mr. Clinton would have give his the following morning, according to copies of the notices of deposition reviewed by The Washington Times.
Mrs. Clinton has been dogged by questions about her handling of email as Americas top diplomat, when she exclusively used a private email account to conduct official business and then, years later, deleted about half of the messages rather than turn them over to the Department of State.
At some point, she also wiped clean the server, permanently erasing all the messages.

While I recognize the points that you’ve made, the entire legal system from SCOTUS down to the courthouse cat has done so much damage both to the country and their own credibility over the past years (with the whipped cream & cherry on top courtesy of the Supremes’ last session), I don’t know if I could have any reaction but sarcasm to ANYTHING that came out of a court.
...except maybe resignations.
There is a conspiracy to convince people that everything is not a conspiracy right here on FreeRepublic.
This is a truth. Back when Hillry was promoting her Benghazi video I got railed by one of the sweetest on FR that Benghazi was NOT a conspiracy. Self importance is not limited to the liberal voting contingency.
Understand.
Judicial is one of my biggest concerns That’s why Cruz is my first choice for AG and later SCOTUS. He’d have more power for a longer time in that route
Actually I think it is from the neck UP!
The criminal Klintoons must be protected at all costs.
Once again... They need to get the administrator of the email server in to testify. He needs to publicly admit before the world that he was so incredibly incompetent that there are no backups of the server.
Congresscritter: Just to clarify, you're the person who managed the Clinton's email server?
Admin: Yes.
Congresscritter: Could you please supply the committee with backups of the email server?
Admin: There aren't any.
Congresscritter: Again, just to clarify... You're actually an IT professional?
Admin: Yes
Congresscritter: And you're going to go on record, to say that this email server was not backed up?
Admin: Yes.
Congresscritter: You realize Mrs. Clinton was a senior administration official whose duties involve, among other things, negotiations with foreign governments?
Admin: uh....yes
Congresscritter: And what would you have done if, during negotiations, the hard disk on this computer had crashed, completely wiping out her email?
Admin: uh....
Congresscritter: So you're going to state, for the record before the world that as an IT professional, you're completely and utterly incompetent?
Admin: I'm not incompetent
Congresscritter: Then provide us with the backups.
...
I pray to God that this is brought out in the Aug. 6th Debate.
Conflict of intrest. Appointed by Bill Clinton 1997. Should have recused himself.

Tom Fitton, in an interview a couple weeks ago (I think with Steve Malzberg) said he believes the ‘deleted’ emails still exist and that ultimately they will be uncovered. He seemed pretty confident about this. When pressed by the interviewer, he declined to elaborate too much on why he believes this, but he remained confident that they still exist and will eventually come out. Interesting.
