Monday marks the first in a series of speeches by Jeb Bush that will outline what his priorities will be as president, beginning with taking on Mount Washington and reforming the way D.C. works this according to his campaign. The inaugural speech itself is titled Taking on Mount Washington, in fact.
While it is an interesting metaphor, the tone and tenor of it also could mark a change in demeanor for Mr. Bush which could help him fend off critics who frame his campaign as inconsequential or tepid.

I wonder how many times they’ll try this angle.
The GOPe are truly delusional.
But then, they must certainly want to lose. This is guaranteed.
BUSH is DOA for me. Common Core did it. Any person supposed to be an American would not BRAG ABOUT speaking MORE SPANISH in his home, than English. And he wants to be president?
No Way, Jose!
If they want to use a metaphor derived from the White Mountains, the current status of the Old Man of the Mountain is much more apropos.
Yes, and when he’s finished he’ll maybe be at number 4.
No Yeb.
I swear, and will start an internet petition to reinforce this, that I will sit home on election day 2016 and watch a SpongeBob Squarepants marathon rather than drag myself out the door to vote for Jeb.
New set of lies?
No wait, he’s REALLY serious this time.
I’m not kidding.
No, stop laughing.
Stop it.
I saw you, your still laughing.
Quit it.
The Incredible Mr.Limpitt, 2016 version without Don Knots.
[Taking on Mount Washington]
Where do they get this garbage?
I suppose it “could” do a lot of things. We’ll see I guess.
Only if Mexico comes out and votes!
What a joke!
I’m with you, all the way.
I love how Squidward is a spot-on parody of pretentious NPR-listening liberals..
So you Mr Bush need to answer the call with fervor and determination to fundamentally Un-Make ALL of the crap Obama has dumped on us.
Are you up to the fight Mr Bush, or do you still want to sweet talk your way through the enemy lines. Oh, Ok...you don't want to be “divisive.” It's important to show “tolerance” and a respect for “diversity.”
Jebby, you are a LOSER! We don't need a 6'5” Mr Nice Guy wimp. We need a FIGHTER! That is obviously not you!
Okay Jeb. Let’s hear what you have to say.
Despite what seems to be heavy Establishment backing, Mr. Bush deserves to be heard.
What is his vision? Why is he the one who can make it happen?
Is Mr. Bush willing to allow local control of education again, instead of from Washington?
Will he acknowledge how Americans have suffered loss due solely to illegals coming across the Rio Grande, when making decisions on immigration?
Realistic introspective reflection about what they (’they’ being Bush and the GOPe) are would reveal to them the true meaning of the statement “We have met the enemy, and he is us.”
Its the same approach Bush took 17 years ago, when he derided the state capital as Mount Tallahassee — bureaucracy-laden and bereft of fresh ideas. In his first year as governor, Bush said he preferred community-based solutions and opposed topdown systems.
The expectation here isn’t that you’re supposed to be waiting for a message via pigeon from Mount Tallahassee, he said.
....BUSH is DOA for me. Common Core did it......
As bad as that is, and I agree with you, amnesty is worse.
