Four military members were killed this morning and at least one police officer injured, when a gunman opened fire on military recruitment offices and a U.S. Naval Reserve Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Witnesses said they saw a single man fire a high-powered rifle at a military office in a strip mall from a convertible silver Mustang, before speeding away, around 10:50am.

It’s been reported he’s a naturalized American citizen born in Kuwait. Went to high school in Dixon (nearby). Big into the local mixed martial arts scene (or was). He was killed on Lee Highway. That was probably relatives arrested at his home. He was a soil engineer for the City of Chattanooga. High school classmate said he was quiet, but funny and nice. Yada Yada Yada.

More info now. He had a local address in Tennessee and he was reportedly born in Kuwait and was a Jordanian citizen.
So it was, indeed, domestic terrorism.

As a contractor, I had many occasions to visit both the FBI and Secret Service offices in town.
The SS guys were the greatest, and when I saw them around town they’d always wave or say Hi! Just regular guys doing their job.....
The FBI guys were arrogant and aloof. I always got the feeling that they thought they were hands above us mere mortals. Their attitudes sucked!
