July 1, 2015 Macy's is ditching him, NBC has let him go, and Univision refuses to broadcast his famed beauty pageant. But American voters are still entertaining the idea of President Donald Trump.
In a Republican presidential field rich with esteemed governors and senators, tough-talking businessman Trump has managed to rise in the polls to be a top-tier candidate even after he elicited controversy for his statements about Mexican immigrants during his campaign announcement.
A CNN/ORC poll released Wednesday showed Trump had 12 percent of the vote among Republicans and Republican-leaners, second only to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who earned 19 percent. A Quinnipiac poll, which was also out Wednesday, revealed Trump was also tied for second with Dr. Ben Carson among likely Republican caucus voters in Iowa. Carson and Trump each had 10 percent of the vote. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker led the pack with 18 percent.
But with so many qualified Republican presidential contenders out there, Trump's rise is not expected to last. Several pollsters consulted for the story say the recent bump may reflect the entrepreneur's high name ID more than it shows genuine voter support. And at a time when the Republican field is so fractured, with more than a dozen candidates in the race, Trump's low, double-digit poll numbers are enough to fling him toward the top. If he cannot expand his base, though, he's expected to fizzle out fast.

Why did Cochran and Mitch get reelected?
I wouldn’t count him out yet. I suspect he’s going to do very well in the debates.
I agree with you. Just the price of doing business in the state where he is headquartered and where she is very influential.
I don’t know. He seems to talk but doesn’t have much action or results. Like today he said “we should be able to impeach Supreme Court justices.” Well Ted, you can......I know he is new to the Senate and all, but he doesn’t even know his own job or what he can do. He has a long way to go before he is prepared to take on the task of President. He is way to inexperienced and his knowledge level is still novice at best.
The American public is hungry for the message and attitude. Right now the package doesn’t matter. If we can get the message and attitude adopted by the right candidate, the libs will be left in the dustbin with H!
Why Is Donald Trump Polling So Well?
*******************
He’s only in double digits in the last two polls which came after his official plunge
into the primary. Prior to that time he was polling in single digits, 5 and below.
He’s only been included in some 10 polls since the middle of May.
Because he is not bought and paid for like all the rest of them.
Because he is not a weenie like all the rest of them.
Because people haven’t thought their choices through.
He sounds good, says what we want to hear, and has no qualification whatsoever to be President of the United States.
Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
Dude.
That was funny, right there, I don't care who you are.
Reagan Democrats I know are talking up Trump.
“12%? Polling well? lol mmmmmmmkay”
Given there are 24 declared republican candidates Trump is polling well.
Well done!
First in 1976, then in 1980 that was the constant mantra about Reagan.
Trump is no Reagan, don't get me wrong.. Just drawing the parallel.
Bingo.
He’s a self-described Democrat; his words are backed up by his actions. But no one wants to hear it.
Trump supports universal health care.
He believes “assault weapons” should be banned.
He believes the economy does better under Democrats than Republicans.
He has tried to get the government to use eminent domain to seize the properties of land owners for his own profit.
He believes upper income earners should pay more in taxes.
He said that he self-identifies as a Democrat.
He still donates money to pro-abortion politicians.
It’s not a crap-shoot with Trump. You get exactly what he has said he is & what he has shown himself to be.
What I can’t understand is why, despite it all, conservatives allow themselves to be suckered in by a few loudmouthed declarations. Aren’t we supposed to be the smarter ones?
Or so I used to think.
and he vocally supported the kelo take over
I believe that Trump is a flawed, but good person!
We are always left to choose the best person we can find that can deliver what is needed despite their imperfections.
This is the nature of the world we live in.
If I had millions, I'd donate to the Clintons. You get what you pay for, and currently, the Clintons are the go-to if you need to buy a Democrat.
Do you need a one-off tax law? An EPA regulation that will cripple your competitor? A pet judge for an eminent domain land grab? A half million to the Clintons as a tax deduction, or a speaking fee, and presto, you own a county commission, or suddenly, a union gives an accommodation. If that guy out in Nevada had been smart, if he wanted to run cattle on BLM land, he would have simply donated to the Clinton Charity. (They don't actually give food to the poor, but they do assure you that you'll get that easement.)
Why Is Donald Trump Polling So Well?
TWITS just don’t get it...... <<- Thats Why?..
NoN Twits DO..
