Is Free Republic under Digital-Astroturfing Attack?
June 14, 2015 | Isara

Posted on 06/14/2015 2:48:41 PM PDT by Isara

We heard the news about Hillary's fake Twitter and Facebook followers and her operatives pretending to be her regular supporters. Is it possible that it also is happening right here on Free Republic Web site?

Free Republic is a premier Conservative site. Most of us know who, among the presidential candidates, is the most Conservative. Our candidate happens to be effective in his campaigning also. Our enemies know that and fear him the most. Naturally, Free Republic is turning into a battleground.

We don't know who they are: other Republican campaign operatives, GOPe, Hillary's camp, Democratic operatives, union thugs, Castro brothers, ISIS, LGBT, ACLU, etc. But they all share one common goal - to take Ted Cruz out. Since trust is Ted Cruz's strong point, they are trying to erode our trust of him.

You may notice that they came in the threads about Ted Cruz in teams, 2 or more at the same time. No matter how much we gave them the facts, these same people went to the next thread and repeated the same misinformation over and over again. This is why I think we are under attack.

Their strategies are:

I've detected that some patterns of their posting were shared among these operatives. Is it possible that there are a few of them pretending to be a lot more, just like Hillary's Twitter and Facebook followers?

2. TPA takes away the Senate’s constitutional right to a 60-vote cloture vote.
You’re claiming that legislation has the power to change the Constitution?

Really?

Seek professional help.

Actually that is EXACTLY what the TPA bill does. Even the couple Cruz Bots we have here are not denying that.

So I am sure you will now be outraged, right?

It doesn’t matter how long the poster’s been here. That’s ridicules.

BTW, I think the posters point and bottom line was about Cruz. Ya see once these agents of the government enact something, it’s generally there forever, which includes anyone coming along later that can and will use these powers against us and America’s best interest.

We were warned repeatedly about this crap hundreds of years ago.

If you can’t see the error in his #2, then you would never know whether ANY candidate is constitutionally literate.

Sheesh, he and you ought to be embarrassed.

More semantics huh Skippy.

Deny all five facts that are clearly facts and your overwhelming evidence and argument is because you say so?

Obviously you offer no facts or laws or case law or anything else in response because you have NOTHING. There are no good answers to the five questions I posed.

It is obvious to most of us that Cruz is aiding and abetting the selling out of America!!! Your blind devotion is just keeping you from seeing the plain and simple truth.

If you believe that, then you are constitutionally illiterate.

But go ahead. Explain how mere legislation changes the Constitution.

I can’t help you with basic facts.

I will just tell you again that even the Cruz supporters are not denying that with this vote in the Senate and the House the TPA does in fact lower the requirement to 51 votes in the Senate.

I am not running a pre-school here so late in this discussion that has gone on for days.

I have many years of legal experience and I would not lie about a basic fact like this. Please believe me when I sincerely tell you this lowers the threshold to pass the TPP in the Senate to 50 + 1 votes. That is why so many of us are furious and feeling betrayed by Cruz.

I think that if even that one right was retained I would be fine with the rest of this because 60 votes in the Senate is far more secure than 50.

I was responding to his false intro.

Don’t get gored by a candidate keeping his financial avenues open in the early game. There is no candidacy without that political commodity.

The Dems know these things, and never kill their own candidate; conservatives can’t seem to learn that trick.

Because I am certain you will fail to understand the importance of that connection, I will explain.

So-called Progressives create a treaty, but they call it an agreement. According to Blacks Law Dictionary, calling it an agreement does not make it an agreement. It is a treaty.

A treaty requires a 2/3 vote in the Senate. Period.

The Constitution can not be changed by a piece of mere legislation. If you really believe it can, then you will need to support your belief with facts and constitutional arguments.

Instead, you claim to rely of the failure of a couple of FR posters to catch your error and tell you about it.

Well, I have caught your error and I am telling you about it. You will not be able to meet my challenge. But go ahead, amuse me.

You still haven’t explained how mere legislation changes the Constitution. In fact, in NONE of your posts on this subject have you explained it.

The reason you haven’t is because you can’t.

The reason you can’t is because it is false.

Perhaps your many years of legal experience are actually one year of legal experience repeated many times.

They show up around major election times, pushing their candidate preference and browbeating anyone who disagrees with them or supports another candidate.

They will be around until the Nov 2016 election, except for some who get hostile and eventually get booted out.

You learn to ignore them, because you cannot engage in civil debate or rational discussions with them. They are a part of FR life like mosquitoes are a part of summer.
