On May 29, three black males walked up to three white males moving into an apartment and allegedly demanded money at gunpoint. One of the three residents pulled a gun and opened fire, killing one on the alleged robbers, critically wounding a second, and injuring the third.
The incident occurred around 11 pm in Aurora, Colorado.
According to CBS Denver, “three white males in their 20s were moving into an apartment building when they were approached by three black males between the ages of 16-20 in the foyer of the apartment building.” The three black males allegedly “demanded money at gunpoint.”
Aurora Police Chief Nick Metz says that two of the three would-be victims began handing money over to the suspects when the third pulled his own gun and began shooting.
The citizen who defended himself and his two companions was questioned by police then released. Arapahoe County District Attorney George Brauchler commented: “I don’t think we would call this necessarily a make-my-day issue. This is a straight up regular common sense statutorily codified self defense.”

Might have had furniture in his way. His little buddy was busy handing money over, so he might have been an obstruction. He hit all three, so he ‘made the tools work for him’. Wonder what tool was his choice for carry?
And help him find a new apartment.

Or as Curly in “City Slickers” pointed out, “One” is the answer to all things. I think he was prescient in referring to one dead punk, one critically wounded punk, and one generally wounded punk.
There is a theory and movie entitled “The Theory of Pi” (My version is “The Theory of Pie”).
Today, in honor of the three swiss-cheesed punks, I offer my “Theory of Die”, i.e. you rob someone, you are going to die (20 years in jail is like dying but your buddy Bubba wants to keep you around as his love-daddy).
I’m sure all three punks were college bound, hardworking, loved their fathers (if they knew who they were), and worked for Mit Romney in the last election. Zero for Four isn’t bad in this case.

Whether or not the other two guys were armed, proceeding to hand over some money might have been a pretty good way of distracting them, so the third guy could pull out his pistol.
Hopefully at least one of the two injured will die also.

I had a neighbor shoot a guy who was trying to break into his house.
When I googled “Homeowner shoots burglar” looking for it, I found out that it happens quite a bit.
To get a lot of youtube hits now, you need something to make it special, like:
“Everyone in family shoots burglar” or “Homeowner shoots burglar - after getting forced into closet, where the guns were.” or “12 year old girl shoots burglar.”
I imagine that the two will be charged with the death of their friend - so that will give them some extra years.
If you think about it, three blacks males confronting three whites males is odd..
Normally, they pick a easier target or targets....one with a much higher rate of success...
