South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham is ready to be commander-in-chief on day one, the Republican will say when he announces his presidential candidacy in South Carolina today, according to excerpts of his remarks as prepared for delivery.
I intend to be president not of a single party, but of a nation, he will say. I want to do more than make big government smaller. I want to help make a great nation greater.
Graham, a retired Air Force colonel, enters the race just as a fierce battle over national security rages in the Senate. The South Carolina senator a noted defense hawk stands in sharp contrast to Sen. Rand Paul, who spent Sunday night railing against anti-terrorism provisions in the PATRIOT act and just last month declared that GOP hawks have contributed to the rise of ISIS.
I want to be president to defeat the enemies trying to kill us, not just penalize them or criticize them or contain them, but defeat them, Graham, 59, will say today.

CNN Carrying the live announcement, from South Carolina.
The RINO’s are all lining up to make sure the “Conservative” message gets buried.
Who will be the First “Husband?”
Linda, the 1st female President??
Bad news for ya, Linda...
What scenario both terrifying and depressing...
The only people on Twitter excited about Lindsey Graham announcing he’s running are ALL Daily Kos DEMOCRATS....
Who ISN’T running on the GOP ticket?
Though I would never vote for Linda for Potus or in any primary....
I would think he would make a good pick for VP simply because of his background...
I don’t agree with him on foreign policy in many areas, but he would bring that experience to a ticket...
As long it’s Cruz or Walker on the front end of the ticket...I could vote for him....
A plus would we could get a real conservative to replace him...
it took me quite a while to stop laughing so that I could type this response.
He’ll be the Belle of the inaugural ball.
has he lost his mind? he’s one of the most effeminate men I’ve ever seen. and he has no chance of winning.
Pee Wee Herman is in the race!
In my opinion, anyone who is not a good pick for president is also not a good pick for vice-president.
The talk show I’m listening to cut into Lindsey’s speech for a few seconds. Tepid applause from the couple dozen people there and Lindsey sounded sleepy.
FAIL
There can be only one...and it’s NOT him.
I intend to be president not of a single party, but of a nation,...
Yeah, right. You’ve been representing both parties ever since you were elected.
Don’t go away mad. Just go away.
The RHINO stampede is in full swing.
This just lets Rubio, Jeb and the rest of the RINOs tack right, relative to Lindsey. Sanders is doing the same service for Hillary!.
