Ted Cruz knocks it out of the park again.
Ted was on with Martha MacCallum this morning who grilled him on getting independents versus just sticking with the base. MacCallum started with the premise that Cruz is too conservative but he refuted that nonsense and told her that hes already seeing a wider coalition of voters including Reagan Democrats and independents among his supporters. But she still insisted on sticking with her premise, asking Cruz if he even wants the independent vote. Cruz responded that of course he wants independents. He explained to MacCallum, as he as told others in the past, that his common sense principles are something that most Americans can agree on and that will draw independents as well as conservatives.
MacCallum also asked him about his comments on concealed carry on military bases and that he had been pressing McCain, and that McCain says he doesnt remember being pressed by Cruz. He admitted that he may have misspoke in saying hes been pressing McCain, as hes been pressing the Senate Armed Services Committee and that McCain is the new Chairman of that committee.

We must not forget that the general news media pretty much live in a tunnel-visioned world of ignorance.
Grilled? LMAO.
All these tv hosts and many so-called election “experts” have the idea that candidates only want to get elected. They can’t grasp the idea of a candidate having standards and trying to convey those standards to the general public. As if candidates should pander to get votes and screw standards and ethics.
He probably thought Reagan was “too conservative” despite the fact that Reagan won 49 out of 50 states.

If “independents” can’t support the constitution, they should quit playing games and register as democrats.
I agree! She wasn’t rude or condescending or playing a “gotcha!” game. She put the questions out there that the lame-stream media will tell John Q. Public and gave him all the time he needed to respond. What is the problem?
No worries the media handles all the other candidates puts them in a box and watches them fight their way out, but Cruz handles the media and puts them and a box, smiles and leaves them looking empty...Duh What Happened!
lol. I thought I saw a flash of oh crap on Ted’s face at that ... My sentiments exactly.
Some of the folks on this board are now so paranoid even FOX News is the enemy. Wow!
Fox News is not our friend.
The Ministry Of Propaganda doing their job to prevent a conservative from getting the nomnination.
The Cheap Labor Express has already paid to have an amnesty candidate for the GOP.
“too conservative? I didnt know such a thing was possible.”
I think we make a mistake calling ourselves conservative. We are truth tellers, that’s what people really hate.
Yes, there are millions of us former Republicans. That’s what they are afraid of.
Then there will be talk of Jeb's momentum as he heads to South Carolina to face off once again against the badly-damaged Cruz. (It's easy to write this crap in advance.)
Take it to the bank.
Many of us independents quit the GOP because they won’t support the Constitution.
I’m harassing Ted Cruz to get up here to Michigan and speak at Hillsdale college again so I can get a chance to hear him speak and possibly meet him.
Martha...Martha...Martha!
Fox News is telling independents what they think. Why not? That’s their job. To tell conservatives and independents what to think. Just like its MSLSDs job to tell whacko bird severe left wing progressives what to think. Propaganda for everybody! Nobody is left behind on the HopeChange express!
Cruz is what has been missing from our political scene.
