American Jews are anything but monolithic in opinion. The first great conservative leader of postwar America was also the only major party nominee of Jewish descent: Barry Goldwater. During the Cold War, individual American Jews made enormous contributions to the cause of liberty.
Admiral Rickover almost single-handedly created the most effective part of our Triad Defense System: nuclear submarines. Morris Childs, the highest-ranking FBI agent in the Communist Party USA, provided our government with priceless intelligence collected within the Kremlins inner sanctum, knowing that if caught he would be tortured to death. AT contributor Herb Meyer, when in the Reagan CIA, was the first man to fully embrace bloodless but total victory against the Evil Empire.
Milton Friedman articulated free-market benevolence as well as anyone in the twentieth century, and Ayn Rand, with literary genius and an incisive, uncompromising mind, made the case for Libertarianism in ways that connect to young people as well as any other thinker has in the last fifty years.
It remains, however, a stubborn and frustrating fact that a preponderance of American Jews feel sympathy with American leftism. The origin of this sympathy has never been rational and has been, instead, an emotional reaction to the perception of American conservatism.
Consider social conservatism. This is almost invariably portrayed by the left as crazy Christians, yet true Christian social conservatism rests entirely upon Judaism. It is the left that rejects the inestimable gift of traditional Jewish morality, and it is the right that embraces that gift.

Most American Jewish people are urban Yankees.
They vote like urban Yankees, excepting Orthodox.
Is it your opinion that to most American Jews, Obama’s policies towards Israel is not among their top issues when they vote?
No.
I’ve been to half dozen Synagogues over many years.
Most “Jews” believe in Liberalism and the Democrat Party, and do not believe in G-d.
Israel and its Jews can go to H*ll, so long as American JINOs’ true god (Liberalism) wins.
Surveys have shown that Israel isn’t even on the radar of American Jews.
Some substantiation:

I’ve seen worse polls.
“Asked to rank which issues were most important to their vote for president, about half of American Jews cited the economy, and 15 percent cited the growing gap between the rich and the poor. Concern about Israel or Iran ranked very low, even when respondents were asked for the second most important issue that would determine their vote for president.”
Proving your point.

“PRRIs Jewish Values Survey found that only 4% of American Jews identified Israel as the most important issue driving their vote for their president in the 2012 election. The AJC survey similarly found only 6% saying U.S.Israel relations is the most important issue determining their vote for president.
“The AJC survey also allowed respondents to pick their second and third most important issues for their 2012 presidential vote, and U.S.-Israel relations registered also registered relatively low as an important voting priority on each of those lists (9% and 8% respectively)”

Obama’s core anti Zionism is no longer being hidden. Nevertheless the majority of Jews IMHO will remain part of a Democratic Party who’s majority is becoming openly hostile to religion. Still upon reflection some Jews will no longer offer their enthusiastic and financial support. The anti Zionism of the Democrats will create a rift. How big, not sure.
Republicans freed the slaves, passed the important civil rights legislation and we don’t get the black vote.
The issue for us is doing what’s right. If Blacks and Jews don’t back us, so what?
Nope.
I think you mean that is their attitude, not that you wish them to hell.
Secular liberalism is a modern idol but it is no less mean and cruel than the old idols of bible history.
This has to be a severe headache to the Lord.
I don’t know if I would place American Jews in this group, but a very large segment of the left, the nihilist, occupier tribe, is in complete agreement with Khomeni’s “Death to America” threat. I definitely put obama and pelosi in this group. They both place themselves in the occupier group.

“God bless them!”
American Jews will continue voting dem even though this mooselimb half breed is doing his best to throw away Isreal,
The stupids.
“American Jews” is not a terribly useful demographic group, at least for political purposes. It contains both the late Aaron Zelman and the execrable Chuck Schumer. It is difficult to imagine two people more diametrically opposed ... yet they’re both “American Jews”.
No. leftists are leftists first and foremost no matter what else they may be.
They are not deep thinkers and just believe the Democrat appeasement way is best because that is what all their fellow urban Yankee liberals think.
No, because they are leftists first.
I suspect a lot of it is anti-Christian sentiment,
but the problem with that is,
the worldwide enemies of Christ don’t differentiate
between Jew and Christian.
Jewish establishment sounds alarm as White House rhetoric intensifies [Israel]

Leading figures in Washingtons pro-Israel community are calling on the Obama administration to turn down the temperature.
For years defensive of their support for US President Barack Obama and his White House, Washingtons pro-Israel establishment now fears that the train of US-Israel relations is running off the tracks. Speaking to The Jerusalem Post, their reactions ranged from deep concern to bewilderment.
The fact that the outcome of a Democratic election in Israel seems to be of great concern to the Obama administration, said David Harris, executive director of the American Jewish Committee, is cause for deep anxiety and puzzlement.
Whatever the failings of the prime minister, the way this is unfolding runs completely contrary to the spirit of US-Israel relations, Harris said. The US appears to have a reasoned interest in prolonging the crisis.
As someone who was critical of several steps by [Netanyahu] during the campaign leading up to his re-election, said Abe Foxman, longtime national director of the Anti-Defamation League, I am even more troubled by statements now coming out of the White House.
What we are hearing from the Obama Administration raises deeper questions about their intentions and perspectives, Foxman said. From the beginning of the Obama years, there was a disturbing indifference to the mindset of the Israeli public.
