CBS News 60 Minutes correspondent Lara Logan is back in the hospital in Washington, D.C., due to years-long complications stemming from the brutal sexual assault she endured in Egypt while covering the Arab Spring in early 2011, several sources close to herincluding one family friend who went on the recordconfirmed to Breitbart News on Monday evening.
A 60 Minutes spokesman also confirmed to Breitbart News late Monday that Logan was in fact hospitalized.
Very few people know how stoic and incredibly tough this lady is. In spite of everything shes had to face in the last two years, people have no idea the physical suffering she has been enduring due to the brutal sexual assault she encountered in Egypt during the Arab Spring while reporting for 60 Minutes, Ed Butowsky, a close friend and confidante of Lara and her family, told Breitbart News. Ive been in and around this business and people dont understand how hard reporters work and how much time they put in. Lara, above all of it, has been doing it for four years since this brutal attack and suffering in every way, shape or form. Maybe its time for people to realize these people are human beings.
We were sorry to hear this morning that Lara was readmitted to the hospital, the 60 Minutes spokesman added in an email. We wish her a speedy recovery.
Butowsky said that Logan has been going in and out of the hospital for the last few years since returning after the brutal attack in Egypt, all while continuing reporting from the most dangerous places on earth and raising her family. Logan has two children. Specifically, Butowsky said, she has been in the hospital at least four times this year alone.

“Where the hell is NOW or any other woman who spats out equality for women!!! “
Unfortunately, she has three big strikes against her.
1) She is an African-American who isn’t black
2) Her attack didn’t support the Fraud’s narrative about his BFF muslim buddies
3) Unlike the gay ambassador murdered at Benghazi, she lived, so the Fraud can’t get away with coming up with a wild story to support his agenda, so the public needs to to forget about her.
and she continued to report from dangerous places... gosh... i hope she takes care of herself first... this is awful... i would rather die...
"Suddenly, before I even know what's happening, I feel hands grabbing my breasts, grabbing my crotch, grabbing me from behind," she told Scott Pelley of "60 Minutes." Things quickly spiraled out of control. "I think my shirt, my sweater was torn off completely," she said. "My shirt was around my neck. I felt the moment that my bra tore. ... And I felt them tear out, they literally just tore my pants to shreds. ... I didn't even know that they were beating me with flagpoles and sticks and things, because I couldn't even feel that. Because I think of the sexual assault, was all I could feel, was their hands raping me over and over and over again. ... They were tearing my body in every direction at this point, tearing my muscles. And they were trying to tear off chunks of my scalp, they had my head in different directions."
I'm going to assume he's talking about the Muslim Brotherhood, Obama's and Clinton's hatchet-men, and the a$$holes at Salon and Media Matters, because I already KNOW she is a human being.
I can’t imagine what she has experienced. It’s horrible. She’s very, very brave.
That is what gets me.
People say African Americans to be PC for blacks and yet the same idiots have no idea that Africans are not all black either. N Africa is not black for the most part and there are many many whites from Africa who live here now.
sickening, actually there is no words to describe what she went through.
My tagline agrees with you...
Way to go Muzzies /s/. So proud of themselves.
She should send the bill to Obama. It was his buddies that did it.
“she has been in the hospital at least four times this year alone.”
I wish her attackers would visit the morgue this year.
As another FReeper points out, it’s incredible that she survived at all. This is a tough lady, physically and mentally. I wish her all the best for a continued recovery.
What you say makes perfect sense. I know you are not blaming her, but one would think that, after what happened, she would step back and look out for herself better, if only for the sake of her children.
psychiatric admission? Poor soul whether it is physical or psychiatric.
I know it probably sounds like I am blaming her, but I’m not...
I am a white, american male. I would not, unless heavily armed and with fellow Americans, be in a crowd like that in the middle east. I just wouldn’t. It isn’t smart, and it is inviting disaster.
I know a lot of these media people think the camera will save them, but it is like crossing a busy street at a crosswalk.
I may have the law on my side, and I can step out into that crosswalk and force a bus to stop, but...I am not going to do it. Who wants to lose that battle with the bus, but have the knowledge that right was on your side?
Why step into a crowd like that, into a crowd of men who hate not just you but women in general, who envy you, who wish you dead, but only after they violate you?
That is possible...they may have their own agenda.
If there were 250 men, that's 6 seconds each. Talk about a quickie!
The wild animals love their blond victims. A CIA friend told me many of the Islamic animals they have captured have pictures of blond western women on them. To make this story clear: she was gang raped by dozens of animals in broad daylight on the ground with hundreds if not thousands of witnesses. These are the people Obama wants us to treat as equals who only need a job.
No, it does not sound like you are blaming her.
If they raped her”with their hands”, they probably mutilated her internally in the process, and did the damage deliberately. That pretty well fits the norm for Islamist subhuman barbarism.
Are you kidding? They're screaming bloody murder about this, right next to MADD who's screaming about the 0bama Regime's releasing illegal alien drunk drivers!
