In a preview of the 2016 campaign, all five late night comics on Monday night mocked Ted Cruz, hitting the Republican as anti-immigrant, regressive and stupid. CBS host David Letterman didn't bother with a joke. Instead, he lectured, "Here's what I find interesting about Ted Cruz, he was born in Canada. His father fled to the United States from Cuba. Yet, Ted Cruz is against immigration. Isn't that odd?"
He then sneered, "Ted Cruz could be president of the United States and if you thought the Secret Service was drinking before –" On TBS, Conan O'Brien hammered, "[Cruz] pledged to lead America boldly forward into the late 1950s."
Regarding the senator's opposition to amnesty, O'Brien noted that Cruz's first commercial was in Spanish and sneered, "Cruz said it's important for me to reach out to the people I'm trying to deport."

yeah well the late night ‘comics’ have their marching orders from dear leader and Hillary- and like good little sheeple, they will attack ted until election day, and then throughout his 8 years as president, and likely for a long time afterwards too
This is one time their playbook will fall flat. Once the public hears him in the debates, the “stupid” label won’t stick.
Ronald Reagan was able to successfully shake the label; W was not because he couldn’t speak clearly.

It's hard to be sure whether Letterman is so stupid that he cannot tell the difference between legal and illegal immigration or just a liar who knows he's wrong and uses the rhetoric to keep his crooked heroes in power. Either way, Letterman disgusts me. His political activism is as sleazy as his personal life.
You can tell Cruz scares the hell out of them so the must destroy him. Why not, it worked with Palin.
Again nothing new under the sun..back in the 80’s Carson constantly portrayed Reagan as a nice but senile old man who wants to pollute the water and starve school kids..didn’t work back then as long as you don’t appear on the shows and laugh as if you did..(see mclame and Sarah Palin, who was given bad advice to do SNL)

Our ill-informed population get their information from “intellectual” comics appearing on such bastions of IQ as late night television.
Folks, there’s a reason they are comics...and it ain’t due to their overwhelming IQ.
The democrats are the ones who want to raise taxes to levels seen in the 1950’s.
But, the Affirmative Action Doper Muslim-And-Sheik who thinks Austrian is a language is BRILLIANT! And so is Joe "Whoops, I Cr@pped My Mouth!" Biden.
