Suspected for years of plotting to dismantle the U.S. electric grid, American officials have confirmed that Iranian military brass have endorsed a nuclear electromagnetic pulse explosion that would attack the country's power system.
American defense experts made the discovery while translating a secret Iranian military handbook, raising new concerns about Tehran's recent nuclear talks with the administration.
The issue of a nuclear EMP attack was raised in the final hours of this week's elections in Israel when U.S. authority Peter Vincent Pry penned a column for Arutz Sheva warning of Iran's threat to free nations.
"Iranian military documents describe such a scenario including a recently translated Iranian military textbook that endorses nuclear EMP attack against the United States," he wrote.
A knowledgable source said that the textbook discusses an EMP attack on America in 20 different places.
Arizona Republican Rep. Trent Franks, who is leading an effort to protect the U.S. electric grid from an EMP attack, has recently made similar claims based on the document translated by military authorities.
Once sneered at by critics, recent moves by Iran and North Korea have given credibility to the potential EMP threat from an atmospheric nuclear explosion over the U.S.
Pry has suggested ways for Iran to deliver a nuclear attack: by ship launched off the East Coast, a missile or via satellite.
Either way the result could be destruction of all or part of the U.S. electric grid, robbing the public of power, computers, water and communications for potentially a year.
Frank Gaffney, founder and president of the Center for Security Policy, said the threat to the grid can also come from solar activity.
He has been pushing Washington and state governments to take the relatively inexpensive move to protect the electric grid, though his concern is from a nuclear attack by Iran or North Korea.
"It is increasingly frightening," he said. "We have to get started on this."
He noted that Iran's top military leader recently announced that he was ready for war with the U.S.
"We are ready for the decisive battle against the U.S. and the Zionist regime," Iranian Armed Forces Chief of Staff General Hassan Firouzabadi told Iran's Fars News Agency in 2014.
Below is from Pry's column that discusses an Iran EMP attack:
Iran armed with nuclear missiles poses an unprecedented threat to global civilization.
One nuclear warhead detonated at high-altitude over the United States would blackout the national electric grid and other life sustaining critical infrastructures for months or years by means of an electromagnetic pulse (EMP). A nationwide blackout lasting one year, according to the Congressional EMP Commission, could cause chaos and starvation that leaves 90 percent of Americans dead.
Iranian military documents describe such a scenario--including a recently translated Iranian military textbook that endorses nuclear EMP attack against the United States.
Thus, Iran with a small number of nuclear missiles can by EMP attack threaten the existence of modernity and be the death knell for Western principles of international law, humanism and freedom. For the first time in history, a failed state like Iran could destroy the most successful societies on Earth and convert an evolving benign world order into world chaos.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif...
Im sure that when [Secretary John] Kerry was taking a walk [in Geneva] with me, he felt that he was talking with a man who had strong belief in his countrys establishment and revolution. During the talks I repeatedly went to a corner in the negotiating room to say my prayers and later said [to the other parties to the talks] that I said my prayers to remember that there is one superior power in the world and other powers are not as mighty as Him.
I do not think that the American or other delegations could find any moment in the talks in which my colleagues or I have dropped our revolutionary principles and beliefs.
PING!
I guess the “man-on-the-street” in Iran is as ignorant as the “man-on-the-street” in America.

Do they have late-night government TV comedians mocking/editing the stupidity of the citizens?

The world is one EMP away from worldwide sharia, and Obama told the Egyptian ambassador privately in January of 2010 that he was and still is a Muslim who supports the “Muslim agenda”. The agenda that all Muslim sects agree on is the destruction of the US and Israel and the institution of worldwide sharia.
The Islamists are the puppet-masters of Obama - and not just Valerie Jarrett. These people took our system hostage and then illegally placed a foreign enemy combatant into our White House.
And now that enemy combatant is making sure that Iran gets the bomb they need in order to do what they’ve said they would do, to institute sharia which Obama told the Egyptian ambassador that he supported.
When, oh when, will America wake up and realize that the people who have been warning of this for a long time are prophets - and they have done to those prophets the same thing that has been done to prophets all down through the centuries? But it will be to their own demise.
If there is anybody who isn’t ready for eternity, it’s way past time for you to be thinking about getting ready, because the time to prepare may be very, very short.
Allowing a foreign enemy combatant into our White House was the stupidest, single most dangerous thing our Congress has ever done. Everybody said it was just “an embarrassing distraction.”
Now, as we face Iran with a bomb that Obama is giving them, enemies all over the globe emboldened by Obama’s crap, and the only guy who can defend us from all this actually being our enemy who won’t lift a finger and will make sure nobody else can lift a finger either.... a few people may be starting to take seriously the python that is around our neck.
Unbelievable.
Because Israel is only the LITTLE Satan.
“A knowledgable source said that the textbook discusses an EMP attack on America in 20 different places.”
Twenty different places spaced across the country would take out ALL the grid. It would take more than a year (think years) to repair all the damage - for one thing, we wouldn’t have enough major huge transformers to replace all the fried ones (I don’t mean the small ones in your neighborhood).
Yes, the article says 90% of people in this country would die. Got water and food? The radiation factor would not be like a nuclear bomb exploded close to earth. These blasts would require going off higher in the atmosphere to knock out all the power grid. I don’t know what the radiation factor would be to humans if the blasts are high in the atmosphere.
Recalling the explanation given to congress by scientists in 2011 (blast high in atmosphere), I don’t remember them saying people would die from that radiation. I think I would remember that if they said it. I’ll have to gather that info. again.
Delusions of grandeur, now?
You never fail to entertain.
and we won’t be ready

Didn't Obama do a purge with sub officers some time back?
You still refuse to get the message because it’s all about the messenger. You’re one who deserves what’s coming.
Ninja frogmen?
You missed this one...
Obama declares Venezuela a threat to U.S. national security
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3265936/posts?page=48
Seems like he’s been purging EVERYBODY in the military. As the world has gotten more and more dangerous through his efforts, the US military has been diminished in size, defunded to the point that there isn’t money to train our troops, purged of good commanders, threatened with non-promotion anybody who doesn’t support gays flaunting their issues, excoriated by lies from Islamists, told they can’t fight back, had their corpses cursed by imams after our SEALs were set up for an ambush, told they weren’t trusted because Obama won’t even be in the same room with these soldiers he doesn’t trust....
Etc. (There’s too much to even remember)
Obama has personally p!ssed on the US military, even while he strengthens, arms, funds, excuses, and campaigns for our enemies.
I hope that the ex-military folks realize we need them even more now than ever, and will rise to the nation’s defense even though they were banished from their posts by a foreign enemy combatant intent on destroying us. And I hope there are still at least a few good people in critical positions of power who can and will thwart any of Obama’s evil plans.
Let me guess. When you looked at the images of Auschwitz and Buchenwald you giggled because you saw somebody’s weiner.
I didn’t see a bunch of imaginary stuff that wasn’t there, that’s for sure.
Right. You didn’t see any cartoon Ninja frogman in any of the images from the ABC video.
So you put one there, to cover up what really was there.
And then every time you want to diminish me or what I’ve said - or any issue I’m interested in - you giggle with your pea-brained comrades here about the Ninja frogman that you inserted in the images to cover up the truth, as if you had just made a joke about somebody’s pee-pee so nobody would notice the dead bodies piled up in the trenches in Auschwitz. Like Edmund who thought he was diminishing Aslan when he drew a mustache on the stone lion in the White Witch’s courtyard.
I can think of no reason for anybody to want to sabotage all serious discussion of what is happening in this country..... unless they are part of the crew SUPPORTING what is happening in this country. Those who laugh when they see what Hitler (and a deceived nation) wrought because they focus on 2-year-old potty joking instead of looking seriously at reality are either imbeciles or part of the propaganda machine.
It’s not funny, and you’re the only one left still laughing while you point at pee-pees. The adults are standing in agonized silence, seeing what you refuse to see. Or what you are trying to cover up by pointing at self-created distractions.
