After a second grader complained to First Lady Michelle Obama that she ruined Taco Tuesday with her healthy lunch rules, Trip Klibert has accepted the White Houses consolation: Bo and Sunny trading cards and a note from Mrs. Obama that said youll get used to it.

If this was my kid, I’d have him send her a card telling her to get lost. Yes, even at 7. You’re never too young to learn to stand up to bullies. I can tolerate a lot, but not this —the cavalier usurpation of parental rights by an arrogant witch.
The White House made an offer Trip could not refuse. “If you ever want to make it to Third grade...”
Dunno - just said Moochelle is sending trading cards of Bo and Sunny ... Bo is the dog, but Sunny?
“how have we allowed our country come to this state ?”
Schoolboards should be packed with fire-breathing conservatives pushing back hard against Washington leftists. Instead, conservatives were more interested in worshipping mammon, remodeling their kitchens and barbecuing ribs, resulting in leftists controlling schoolboards, village councils and county boards.
Until conservatives get involved in taking back their neighborhoods by running for local offices, they will continue to eat shit sandwiches served by leftists in local government.
Conservatives, especially here on FR, are completely myopic and do not understand the strategic importance of first securing the base from where you operate - your local government.
what a great insight !
thanks ! I have been saying , since 2010 “ get up off your couches !”
The only thing that made the Tea party any kind of influence was the visible presence it represented . Now days most folks have gone home . No more flags . And as you point out ; can’t be bothered with wrestling with local politics , AND a large number of them will not even vote in national elections because they don’t like some aspect or another of the Conservative opposition to the Leftists .
You hit the nail on the head Sarge
I may do that too. I'd love to know what kind of response this issue gets. I'll bet they received quite a few letters like yours. But they'll probably only print the glowing, butt-kissing ones.
Eat your peas!
Nanny State PING!
My daughters speak their mind at public school. I recall one time years ago when one of them (in grade school) was explaining how manmade global warming was a farce. The teacher emailed us the he was worried she would get bullied for her views. I replied “Don’t worry - she can take of herself. But thanks.”
She gave a scientific poster board on the B.S. that global warming is - the teacher gave her an “A”. I was surprised.
The same daughter now has an English teacher that gives quotes every day from famous people on their birthday. And then they discuss it a little bit. Last month after the quote time she raised her hand.
“Yes?”
“Today was Ronald Reagan’s birthday - how come you didn’t use one of his quotes?
“Yes, it’s all good. Trip has learned early on the value of abject compliance.”
BUMP!
The food is generally a step below Waffle House. But to make up for it, is unhealthy, served cold, and in small portions.
I think I had it better : )
Trip is now fully prepared for his future career in Republican Party leadership.
Don't forget salt and pepper (Tabasco too).
Folks used to call it "Depression Soup" when I was a kid.
Thanks for the ping!
Just spoke with my daughter, turned out OK and just a general discussion about her son’s progress. Thankfully he isn’t yet being punished for recognizing people’s character - or lack thereof.
“”Just spoke with my daughter, turned out OK and just a general discussion about her sons progress. Thankfully he isnt yet being punished for recognizing peoples character - or lack thereof.””
That’s excellent. There are so many horror stories about school kids getting into trouble for some infraction of the idiotic rules of the school/board/district, I’m glad to see that this wasn’t one of those stories.
Thanks for letting us know....
“a note from Mrs. Obama that said youll get used to it.”
Bow before me subject!
