Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski have wondered out loud whether Michael Schmidt, the New York Times reporter who broke the story about Hillary using private email during her time as Secretary of State, might be fearing "retribution" from Hillary's camp.
When Joe and Mika interviewed New York Times Schmidt on today's Morning Joe, Scarborough had to work to get Schmidt to say something that was in his own article: that while Colin Powell also used private email as Secretary of State, there were no rules prohibiting that at the time. Later, Joe and Mika later remarked that they were "taken aback" by the "strange" interview and that "something else was hapening" during it. Mika mentioned that there was a "massive onslaught" of Twitter "hatred" from Hillary supporters overnight. She wondered whether Schmidt had been on the receiving end of that hatred, and if the "fear of retribution or something" had gotten into his head.

“retribution” from Hillary’s camp
What did he expect? When you piss off mafia type people you have to watch your back. The Clintons (and especially Hildabeast) are worse than the mafia because they have quasi-government backing. Hildabeast has dirt on Barry and he has dirt on her, therefore they cover each other. This guy needs to make sure his life insurance premiums are paid up and NOT visit Fort Marcy Park.
The screen caption shown is bogus — Hitlery DID have government email, but opted not to use it in order to avoid going to prison when her gov’t account was subpeonaed.
If you were looking for four-star dagger to take Hillary down a notch in early Democratic debates....this is one of them. Even if you did nothing wrong, it makes you look corrupt. I’d say Warren is now a fifty-fifty player in the primary, and Hillary has some serious explanations to work out.
But I would also offer this wit and wisdom. Eventually, they will have to deal with someone put onto the cabinet who refuses to write emails on the gov’t account or personal account...then what do you do? All we need is some weird throw-back guy from the 1970s who refuses any and all technology and dictates to some secretary to type a letter and fax it to the intended receiver.
At the very least, Hillary’s use of her personal email account, rather than a secure government account, to conduct her business as Secretary of State represents incredibly poor judgement as well as a very serious security breach. How much sensitive information and other classified information was discussed in her public email account, making it readily available to hackers? She may as well be posting this stuff on her Facebook page.

Now here's the interesting thing. Hillary cerainly communicated with the White House using her private email account. So the White House must have know what she was doing, and they allowed it to continue.
So Obama is not a disinterested observer in all this. He allowed a crime (and a major security risk) to continue for years. So Obama committed a crime as well. A robust GOP should be looking into that.
It appears as though the “Ready for Hillary” crowd are going to have to settle for Fauxcahontas Warren. Slick Willie’s wife is going to be going to jail. LOL!
I’m not convinced that the Liz Warren fans aren’t behind this leak.
