In the American liberal compass, the needle is always pointing to places like Denmark. Everything they most fervently hope for here has already happened there.
So: Why does no one seem particularly interested in visiting Denmark? (“Honey, on our European trip, I want to see Tuscany, Paris, Berlin and . . . Jutland!”) Visitors say Danes are joyless to be around. Denmark suffers from high rates of alcoholism. In its use of antidepressants it ranks fourth in the world. (Its fellow Nordics the Icelanders are in front by a wide margin.) Some 5% of Danish men have had sex with an animal. Denmark’s productivity is in decline, its workers put in only 28 hours a week, and everybody you meet seems to have a government job. Oh, and as The Telegraph put it, it’s “the cancer capital of the world.”
So how happy can these drunk, depressed, lazy, tumor-ridden, pig-bonking bureaucrats really be?

I worked at an international company and when we had socialist State visitors to the US they came alive. When we went there, it was gray and boring. Outside of drinking, not much fun at all. Socialism sucks the life out of people.
All of europe is suffering from the same, self inflicted disease of chosen socialism.
The communist power places have collapsed of their own weight, but the european countries have slid by, mostly because we have picked up their defense tab for the past 70 years, but those days are coming to an end.

Stationed in Norway for 4 years in the late 80s. Taxes were unbelievable. One car was OK, but they’d charge 100% taxes on a second car. They didn’t want people eating beef, so they heavily taxed it. A $3 (21 kroner) cut would be $10 (70 kroner). They also didn’t want people drinking, so they taxed booze heavily, as in several hundred percent. They’d take the overnight ferries to Denmark just to hit the Duty Free and pass out in the corridors.

I had a neighbor in the US who was very Danish, but he had a great sense of humor and laughed a great deal.
Been up to that part of the world. Every man should see a real-life Barbie doll once in his life. After that, the fishing is the best goings on...that and Sea Days in Lithuania!
Denmark is only 4% Muslim. Where do they find that extra 1%?

Sounds like hell to me.
Socialism removes God and Christianity, and Christianity is what fueled individualism and hope and creativity, like nothing else ever can (or will) since it is a Rational religion which is the only belief which gives dignity to all individuals, no matter how weak, useless or sick.
Socialism rots the Soul (Igor Shafarevich—The Socialist Phenomenon). It destroys Individualism. That destroys Identity and reduces everyone to interchangeable drones.
Socialism—as we see—destroys Reason and Logic—by pretending there is a “utopian” society on earth and pretending ALL human beings are exactly the same (why they are forcing little children to see images of two males “marrying” to destroy Reason and understanding of Natural Law and Chrisitianity)-—everyone has to conform. Mass conformity is the only system where a few elites can control the masses—all their ideas and all their allowed actions.
Inculcation of Sociailist ideology into children destroys critical thinking and Wisdom (discerning Good and Evil) because they are taught that emotions (base instincts) determine Good and Evil.
The Virtues-—Excellence-—are destroyed in children (All virtue is learned and habituated in childhood (Aristotle)-—and when Virtue is destroyed, then Excellence is destroyed-—the concepts which created the Enlightenment, Age of Reason and exceptional Art and Literature, Science.
Without God, everything is permissible (Dostoevsky) but laziness and the acceptance of mediocrity, sameness will be the norm since human nature-—as all history has proven, is wicked without Christian Worldview (which is antithetical to conformity.)
Christians can never be silent in the face of Evil. Most Europeans (and all European Laws) embrace evil and promote Vice (theft, sodomy) and eject Laws of Nature and Truth (God).
Nietzsche stated it as such in the 1800s: God is Dead. (In other Words, Christianity is being ejected from Europe and 2000 years of history and the Age of Reason, etc).
Evil always swallows up happiness and destroys hope, dignity and joy. It makes slaves of the Good and Virtuous and teaches the next generation that Christian ethics are evil, sexist, racist, etc-—to destroy all the concepts of Individual Natural Rights come from God.
Christianity combined Reason and Faith, which is the most perfect ideological system, which is the only one which gives individuals Freedom and Dignity to all people and doesn’t force conformity (destruction of Free Will (the Soul).
