Monday, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said police officers who turned their backs on him during the funeral services for two murdered NYPD officers were disrespectful to the mourning families and the people of New York City.

Mayor de Blasio said, “Those individuals who took certain actions this last week, or last two weeks, really, they were disrespectful to the families involved. That’s the bottom line. They were disrespectful to the families who had lost their loved ones. And I can’t understand why anyone would do such a thing in a context like that. I think it just defies a lot of what we all feel is the right and decent thing to do when you’re dealing with a family in pain. I also feel they were disrespectful to the people of this city.”

“At a time when I think the people of this city felt tremendous respect for the NYPD, some individuals, some individual officers showed disrespect to the families and the people of this city,” he added.

Bill de Blasio was born Warren Wilhelm, Jr., on May 8, 1961. He first changed his name to the hyphenated Warren de Blasio-Wilhelm, adding his mother’s maiden name. In 2002, he dropped the “Warren” and the “Wilhelm,” and changed his name for a second time to what it is currently, Bill de Blasio. Bill de Blasio was the campaign manager for Hillary Clinton’s Senate campaign in 2000. Bill de Blasio was a fervent supporter of the Marxist Sandinista government in Nicaragua in the 1980′s, a government that was backed by the Communist Soviet Union and Cuba. At the height of Cold War tension, while still a student at New York University, de Blasio toured the Communist Soviet Union in 1983. Bill de Blasio ran Democrat New York Congressman Charlie Rangel’s re-election campaign in 1994. In 1994, Bill de Blasio married a lesbian activist, Chirlane McCray. The newlyweds honeymooned in Fidel Castro’s Communist Cuba. In 2009, de Blasio’s election campaign to be NYC’s third “Public Advocate” was supported by the pro-Communism, Working Families Party. Both of de Blasio’s parents were communists, leading historian Ron Radosh to describe him as a “bona fide red diaper baby.”

Bill is wrong. I don't see it as disrespectful to the families at all - just the opposite. They are honoring them by turning their backs on one of the people (at least) partially responsible for getting their people killed. The mayor's previous statements helped incite the violence.

So no Bill, they were not disrespectful to the families, only you. You deserve it and more.

Bratton and DeBlasio's joint presser was ridiculous...Big Bird patted himself on the back for 20 minutes.....he and Bratton took all the credit for the (supposedly) lower crime rate.....

LOWER CRIME RATE? Better look again----no doubt Bratton relied on the scam he used when he Commissioned under Giuliani: manipulate the stats--refigure the way crimes are reported....eliminate some crimes from the statistics.

Bratton was clearly coached to attack cops---as the way to massage Birdman's bruised ego.
