Two uniformed NYPD officers were shot dead Saturday afternoon as they sat in their marked police car on a Brooklyn street corner in what investigators believe was a crazed gunmans execution-style mission to avenge Eric Garner and Michael Brown.
Its an execution, one law enforcement source said of the 3 p.m. shooting of the two officers, whose names were being withheld pending family notification of their deaths.
The tragic heroes were working overtime as part of an anti-terrorism drill when they were shot point-blank in their heads by the lone gunman, who approached them on foot from the sidewalk at the corner of Myrtle and Tompkins avenues in Bed-Stuy.
Im Putting Wings on Pigs Today, a person believed to be the gunman wrote on Instagram in a message posted just three hours before the officers were shot through their front passenger window.

I agree that there is no justification for killing random cops.
The left, Al Sharpton, and in particular BARAK OBAMA are directly to blame for this and now have blood on their hands!
Thank goodness the cops will certainly be on OUR side when everything finally goes down!
Many people have gone on record that what Sharpton says behind closed doors is completely opposite of the pablum he spits out for the public. It would not surprise me at all if he pushed for something like this in private knowing he has Obama and Holder at his back.
+1 on including libertarians here
You’re welcome. The libertarian definition of a police state is any state with police.
There were cops in NYC attacked by a hatchet-wielding muslim a few months ago too. Funny how that was forgotten by the media.
Looks like the chickens have come home to roost.
Bye
THANK YOU!
Looks like a “cops had it coming” freeper is no more.
You paint with an overly broad brush here.
Unconditional support of "the police" makes no more sense than the "my country right or wrong" mentality.
I support the police when they are acting properly and lawfully. I do not support them in situations when they are not. Plenty of other 'libertarians' on FR feel the same way. Same thing with plenty of 'conservatives' here as well.
See tagline for what I think about libs. Even in this thread there are libs with there “cops had it coming” mentality.
Scroll up a few replies. As you see; one just got the zot.
One zot does not “all libertarians” make (sez Yoda, I think)...
Thank You.....His story was definitely growing tiresome.
I support law and order which is necessary for individual liberty
Even in this thread there are libs with there cops had it coming mentality.
I supposed I missed the post that got Levine the ax, but I never saw him say the cops had it coming.
But, as long as we are defining political terms, I offer this:
If you think you'd be better at running the tyranny than liberals are, you aren't a conservative.
I support law and order which is necessary for individual liberty
I'm with you. Certainly, we can differ on where the line is that minimizes government (read: cops) and maximizes liberty. It is somewhere between no cops (which I've seen no one here advocate) and unchecked growth and power of law enforcement and it's associated administrative bureaucracy.
