Most white Americans demonstrate bias against blacks, even if they're not aware of or able to control it. It's a surprisingly little-discussed factor in the anguishing debates over race and law enforcement that followed the shootings of unarmed black men by white police officers. Such implicit biases -- which, if they were to influence split-second law enforcement decisions, could have life or death consequences -- are measured by psychological tests, most prominently the computerized Implicit Association Test, which has been taken by over two million people online at the website Project Implicit.
Based on this data, it appears that whites in some states may exhibit higher levels of implicit bias than those in other states. The following map, courtesy of Project Implicit, shows the states with the highest level of implicit bias (high number, red) and lowest level of implicit bias (low number, blue). Gray represents states with a middle amount of implicit bias; Michigan is the median state. Overall, the map reflects the scores of 1.51 million individuals, ranging from a high of 99,660 test takers from California to a low of 1,722 test takers from Hawaii.

Across America black PEOPLE are empowered and biased and don’t admit it.
Using the same logic, most blacks are biased against white people.
The author:
He probably stole this article idea from a black man.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Whoa? Wait! I thought that racist behavior was learned. I cannot remember my Papa sitting me down and giving the the “talk” on people that were not white. Which way is it? I grew up POOR. My Dad was too proud to ask for help. We did okay! I had clean clothes to wear to school. My parents would starve so that I and my older brother could eat... WITH NO HELP FROM FEDGOV Inc. Was it when FED GOV Inc. showed up and reached into my pockets to fund their corrupt, nasty, immoral programs? Yea... I think it was... and that makes me the bad guy.
At this point, I don’t even really care. I need to get a new garage door, and pay a few bills. I avoid packs of blacks and don’t care if they think that’s racist. 2% or the population is responsible for something like 30% of homicides.
Even if this were true, so what? I’m inherently biased against all people who aren’t my friends and family (and even a few who are), I’m biased against people who aren’t from the US. I’m biased against people who aren’t from North America or Western Europe.
The list goes on but, so what? Prove to me this is an issue that can be solved or needs to be resolved. Then prove it’s desirable to resolve this, prove ending this bias is a good thing. It may simply be acquired wisdom.
I guess now that the country is established, built up and most of the awesomeness has been invented, the “ others” will take it from here. We can just keep working, pay lots of taxes and die out quietly and slowly.
These racists REALLY don’t want us whites to start acting the way they claim we do. If they want racism we’ll give them racism.
Okay, I admit it. I am biased — against stupid.
But, as Ron White {snicker, does his last name make him double-biased?} says, “you can’t fix stupid.”
I moved from one of the highest (Florida) to one of the lowest (New Mexico).
Could have something to with the fact there are about 6 black people in New Mexico. Just kidding. There are 14.
I'm totally comfortable with who I am, I don't plan on changing my attitude on race and will not give up anything I own to these extortionists without a fight.
Here's my middle finger.
KILL THE INTOLERANT!!!
Stand on your hind legs and be a man, and there won’t be any problems. Be kind, respectful, honest, and strong in a decent masculine way or in a feminine way, and again, no problems.
Sohhhh, is bias pervasive and endemic to whites as a unique and particular characteristic, with all other races really being pure as the driven snow?
Or did you just need to write enough words to get paid for this article?
A cautionary note: The people who have taken the IAT at the Project Implicit website are not a random sample of Americans, either nationally or on a state-by-state basis. Rather, they're people who, for some reason, chose to take an online test measuring their implicit biases -- which may actually mean they are less biased than average. (After all, at least they wanted to know how biased they are.)
That is a biased statement on its face. Everything that follows is his opinion.
