“I am thankful that the author...pointed out my bias cuz I didn’t know it!”
It is part of the definition of ‘bias’ that the biased person does not, indeed cannot, see his own bias. If he can, it may be prejudice, but it is not bias. Moreover, the implication of bias is that a bias is unrealistic and not factual.
