Now this… Ferguson Mayor James Knowles told FOX 2 anchors late on Monday night that he had repeatedly requested the National Guard Monday night… But his requests were ignored.
“I know I’ve been on the phone in contact with the County Executive’s Office. I know he has requested. I am requesting. I’ve requested the National Guard troops to come out from their command post to help restore order along the business district. We have not seen that… Those calls have gone unheeded at this point… We need to have the governor step up and give us the resources that he’s promised from the beginning. He said he would have a strong response. The resources necessary would be provided. They have not been provided so far.“

Apparently, the fear of “racial optics” prevailed.
That’s what it amounts to isn’t it.
It’s certainly and argument for state militias to be reinstated.
I wonder if maybe 0bama Federalized the Mo. N.G. and ordered them to stand down, like he did at the Benghazi debacle.
Prediction: Down the road Mizzou will go in regards to the Governorship, to a conservative GOPer.
Or have the NG go back under full control under the Governors.
All this is going to hurt Gov. Nixon down the road in any future general elections the whole Michael Brown case with the voters.
Over on DU they’ve been complaining that “they’ve been preparing for riots, so they are getting them”. They are crying and raving mad that I guess they think this cop should have let himself get killed by this kid, and that preparing for riots must have been what caused them. They just looked way too scary in the street there, and they really think the cops provoked. I really tried, but I cannot follow the logic at all. They are just totally ignoring that the physical evidence shows the kid tried to grab the cops gun, and that is ALWAYS met with deadly force. It’s like they are half brain dead. Nothing is going in. They don’t hear. They don’t hear, they kid was attacking people, he attacked a cop, he charged him, he tried to get his gun, there was blood all over the gun. How do you get beyond that level of stupidity?
By the way, my local newspaper poll is running about 71% the grand jury decision is correct, so they really ARE out of the loop. As for NYC, well they elected a communist last year and don’t even think you should be allowed to drink a large soda, so I their logic is highly suspect.
They are also complaining that nobody else seems to understand them, so they are staying off social media, none of their “conservative friends or even liberal ones” on FB understand them tonight. I guess they aren’t getting they are in a very, very small grouping of people who CANT BE convinced, against all evidence, THE MAN TRIED TO STEAL A COP’s GUN and you GET SHOT FOR THAT. And it has NOTHING to do with color, I would expect that to happen to a white kid too.
Frankly, if I was a Ferguson cop, I would quit. I would let the looters and rioters burn the town, and the people would just have to deal. Because if I was ever threatened, the odds that I would be given a choice of being emotionally crucified by these numbnuts or killed by a crazy thug is not one I would take.

I suppose Obama can declare it a disaster area....and feed the blacks some money. What the town needs is a community organizer.
The National Guard was sent to keep the cops in check, not the rioters.

No matter what the decision, they were hell bent on having their riots.
Well, can’t say that I blame the NG for not falling out. Keep in mind that they probably have not been and will not be issued live ammo. And, unless Marshall Law is declared which is doubtfull, they have no search, seizure or arrest authority. So, all they can do is show a presence and look pretty - and the rioters know it.
Looks like Obama called off the Guard.
But Nixon could have called in the state police in large numbers.
