Obama defiant; vows Immigration action this year
Yahoo News ^ | October 5, 2014

Posted on 11/06/2014 3:09:43 AM PST by Din Maker

President Barack Obama's determination to act alone to change the immigration system promptly drove a wedge Wednesday into the post-election commitment from the president and Republican leaders to find common ground under the new political alignment.

Obama defiantly stood by his pledge to act on his own to reduce deportations, grant work permits and improve border security by the end of the year despite resounding election victories by Republicans strongly opposed to his plans. The Senate's likely majority leader next year, Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., declared that such a move would amount to "waving a red flag in front of a bull."

"I have no doubt that there will be some Republicans who are angered or frustrated by any executive action that I may take," Obama said in a post-election news conference. "Those are folks, I just have to say, who are also deeply opposed to immigration reform, in any form, and blocked the House from being able to pass a bipartisan bill."

He cast his executive actions as an inducement for Republicans to pass their own immigration bill.

"The best way, if folks are serious about getting immigration reform done, is going ahead and passing a bill and getting it to my desk. And then the executive actions that I take go away," he said.

Republicans led by McConnell pledged to use their new found majorities to stop him.

"I hope he won't do that, because I do think it poisons the well for the opportunity to address a very important domestic issue," McConnell said in Louisville, Kentucky, as he celebrated a victory in his own Senate race and the GOP's capture of the Senate.

Rand Slams Congress for Funding Egypt's Generals: 'How Does Your Conscience Feel Now?'
Sen. Rand Paul is hammering his fellow senators for keeping billions in financial aid flowing to Egypt's military -- even as Cairo's security forces massacre anti-government activists. [by "anti-government activists" is meant church-burning Christian-murdering jihadists]

Rand Paul On Shutdown: "Even Though It Appeared I Was Participating In It, It Was A Dumb Idea"
I said throughout the whole battle that shutting down the government was a dumb idea. Even though it did appear as if I was participating in it, I said it was a dumb idea. And the reason I voted for it, though, is that it's a conundrum. Here's the conundrum. We have a $17 trillion debt and people at home tell me you can't give the president a blank check. We just can't keep raising the debt ceiling without conditions. So unconditionally raising the debt ceiling, nobody at home wants me to vote for that and I can't vote for that. But the conundrum is if I don't we do approach these deadlines. So there is an impasse. In 2011, though, we had this impasse and the president did negotiate. We got the sequester. If we were to extend the sequester from discretionary spending to all the entitlements we would actually fix our problem within a few years.

Rand Paul: Time for GOP to soften war stance
...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said.

Rand Paul's immigration speech
...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.

Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reform
Latinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...

Beware of Three Card Monty — there’s been a real scare on about Zero’s post-election transformation into a dictator, but he’s done the damage he wanted to do before the election; he’ll now head off into some other uncharted corruption, it’s his pattern. Probably he’ll start unbridled agitation against conservatives, against US interests, against the Second Amendment, against the First Amendment (there’s been a renewed call for that), and specifically against Israel.

Well, if Obama wants “Immigration Reform” he now has McConnell to help him. And as a bonus for Mc Connell, the voters of Kentucky , by their vote, gave him the go ahead to crush the tea Party. And now he has the power of Congress behind him. But it is what it is.

Agreed. It’s going to happen when the EBTs and Obama phones are cutoff anyways.

I'm inclined to agree with Krauthammer. Impeachment is useless. I agree with fighting him with every weapon available. When he leaves office, then prosecute him and his accomplices.

And when Traitorobama leaves office, Krauthammer and the RINOs will whine the same story that prosecuting him and his thugs is useless and isn't worth getting traitorous liberals upset. Justice is expected to bow to expediency.

Remember, Hillary and Kerry are part of the traitorous thugs that need to be tried, convicted, and sentenced with Barry. And the sentence needs to be carried out in public; it should be a public holiday!

If odumbo pushes and calls for amnesty, the repubs should immediately stop any/all funding for it, followed by immediate impeachment. Odumbo has broken more than enough laws already and that SHOULD BE the straw that breaks the camels back. Remove him from office before he can do any more harm to this once great nation. He is like a cancer and when left alone will continue to cause even more destruction. REMOVE HIM ASAP.

#### Atheistic marxism only masks the believing islamist.####

I honestly do not think he is an Islamic...

He does have an affinity for Islam and is uncomfortable waging war against even the more radical elements of it since he was raised by Muslims....

O.I.E.A.I.I.

Obama's Illegal Executive Amnesty Is Invalid.

Let's start a psyops campaign, the point of which is to tell illegals that any executive amnesty green cards will be illegal and invalid, and will be used to create deportation lists for future use.

“Impeaching him will set off riots in every city in the country.”

I doubt it. And if it did so what. It wouldn’t last long
anyway.

“I’m inclined to agree with Krauthammer. Impeachment is useless.”

Then why not do both? Let him declare his dictate then
defund it and divert the money over to his impeachment.
And wile they are at it why don’t they go ahead and
vet him.

Impeachment can't take place without hard evidence. Despite all the Darrell Issa hearings and the other dog and pony shows, there really isn't enough to prosecute largely because the House has allowed the thugs to stonewall at every turn. What we need first are real investigations and real hearings, and if the criminal element fails to appear or otherwise refuses to comply, go before a judge or judges and compel their cooperation.

All of these investigations and hearings will take time, possibly as long as Obama stays in office. Once the evidence is gathered, fit him and his accomplices with orange jumpsuits and make them do the perp walk.

1/19/2017 he signs an 11-inch high stack of pardons. Including one for himself.

I don’t know the law, but a pardon for himself may be challenged.

Talk of impeachment MIGHT slow down Obama on amnesty. We must keep pressure Washington and emphasize the many negative consequences of amnesty - it cuts down jobs for Americans, especially black Americans, etc.

Why should illegal aliens, who readily break our laws and refuse to file for admission, be allowed to get ahead of the line? More Americans have been killed by illegals than in Afghanistan and Iraq.

An effective PR campaign is needed regarding the numerous consequences of amnesty. Amnesty and admitting immigrants from enemy nations or who belong to groups hating us is the biggest threat to this country.

So many are saying that the GOP will face a hostile political climate in 2016. But, I think we can still get mileage out of Obama’s failed Presidency in the 2016 Elections.
