Amber Vinson, the second nurse in Dallas to contract the Ebola virus, has retained a high-profile attorney, her family said in a statement.

Who can she sue? Duncan is dead and it’s not likely his family is wealthy enough to bother suing? The hospital? CDC? It should be interesting to see who, if anyone, this lawyer wants to sue.
I would bet that he was engaged to protect her from potential suits rather than the reverse.
Get a judgement against Jesse Jackson/Duncan family settlement money
I would assume that she is suing the CDC due to the fact that it was recently admitted that their protection protocols were inadequate.
On the other hand, I would laugh if all of the people that she exposed turned around and sued her, as well.
OK, so they want to sue the media and others who claimed she didn’t follow the protocols properly. Good, sue CBS/NBC/ABC/CNN/MSNBC/NYT/WaPo.
“I would bet that he was engaged to protect her from potential suits rather than the reverse.”
How can she afford him?
Some had said that Duncan’s family might sue for wrongful death or something along those lines.
Some attorney could take the case on contingency.
You never know who might sue, or for what reason.
Sadly, the apology letter released by the hospital can give ammunition to a Duncan family lawsuit, if they choose to do that.
Lawyer may have taken the case pro bono, figuring that it would get a ton of publicity and help make a name.
She may be doing it more for protection.
I think she’s covering her bases in case SHE is sued.
Starting with the wedding dress store owner, who will likely have to destroy her entire inventory.
They are trying to get an upper hand in avoiding being found negligent in her decision to go traipsing around the country when she knew she had symptoms of obola. If others she came into contact with come down with obola she is going to have legal problems.

US Taxpayers may also have standing---since Duncan falsified official documents to gain entry into the US.
US Courts of law do not dispense justice to a litigant w/ "unclean hands" (a legal term meaning a litigant who committed a crime).
I would bet that she thinks she has hit the lottery
so much for obtaining any useful information from her.
The hospital, the CDC to start... Possibly the medical staff?
