Make a long story short--the Administration was willing to take the short end of the prisoner swap in hopes that these cave dwelling savages would entertain a "larger conversation" about the future of Afghanistan.

Good report.
The idea sprang to me while reading this that the three Bergdogs were complicit with this plan from the outset. If so, they all are treasonous.

Gov. Rick Perry appeared with KTRH’s Sean Hannity on Fox News to ask some questions of his own about the Bergdahl case. “I really would like for somebody to take a look at this and answer it,” said Perry.
“Was this done to take the VA (scandal) off the front page of the newspapers?” Perry said the timing of the Bergdahl release is suspect, especially since it happened without any notification of Congress, as is required by law for the release of any Gitmo detainee. “What is the strategy, what is the foreign policy that is going into place here,” asked Perry. “Is it just haphazard, is it just whatever we need to do to move a press story?”

Obama doesn’t give a flying crap about Afghanistan’s future save the exception that it not include the US and in a manner that can be connected to him.

Well now, let's not be to hasty. Maybe Barack should just go over there by himself. He could just go cave to cave and you know, organize them.

A farmer has a problem with Coyotes eating his chickens. Obama’s solution.....
Just put a chicken or too out away from all the other chickens every night and the coyotes will leave the chickens alone.
That is the extent of our nation’s foreign policy logic these days.

The Taliban have sought a prisoner release from the beginning of their contacts with U.S. negotiators, while the U.S. side was looking for confidence-building gestures to keep the conversation going, with the ultimate aim of bringing hostilities in Afghanistan to an end. . .
We delayed the release of this 'hero' for politics? Is that what they are saying?

No the real deal is that the country is focused on this issue and NOT what the Gub’ment doesn’t want us to see...

Let’s look at the result of all of this. A deserter is able to come home....to what they thought would be a hero’s welcome. The media has let them down. For once, Americans are not accepting the lies. Wowser. Not what Obama expected at all.

AP Media Cover for Omeba.
The read goal behind the Bergdahl deal was to get the VA Scandal off the television screens.
It worked.
Breitbart was right, media is everything.

The real agenda? Give 5 of the ugliest, meanest bearded savages back to the hell hole that they sprung from, so they can go right back to terrorist activities.
Our fearless leader’s real motive is to do his bosom buddies a favor, and not to liberate an “American.”

I call BS. This sounds like the AP acting as willing accomplice to Obama as he tries to put a smiley face on this pile of crap. He wanted to help out his Muzzie buddies by returning some of their leaders, and Bergdahl was just an excuse.

According to him it would be like trying to negotiate with hyperactive, violent, dysfunctional fourth graders.

I can guess how Karzai is reacting to Obama throwing a hissy fit over their failure to meet and then talking about larger discussions on Afghanistan’s future.
