yup.
“Why cant we announce a war on cancer and ... take on this disease once and for all?!”
Because, as County Joe once sang, “There’s plenty good money to be made...” And ask yourself this: Why are billions spent on AIDS research when we all know what causes it, and how to prevent it? There are infinitely more people suffering and dying from cancer than there are dying from AIDS.
Lord, You knew the outcome before the decision was made by Elizabeth. We now pray for your loving embrace and blessing to engulf Max and his daughter as they move on into the future without her. One day they will all be reunited, but I know Your will was done here on earth and You will provide for all they need. In Jesus name I Pray Amen.
RIP.
BTTT
That’s what real mothers do.
Touching story.
(But can we stop with saying both parents are pregnant?:
...she and her husband announced that they were
pregnant....
Only the female is gravid. One can say that the couple is expecting, but they are not both pregnant. /rant)
+1
“She chose that that new life would have a chance.
An amazing decision.”
Actually, it isn’t really an amazing decision for a real woman. Unfortunately, not many of them pass that “test” today. I know one thing, my wife would have gladly given her life for any of her children in childbirth and at 71, she would still do it today, plus she would ad in her five grandchildren!
This lady was the ultimate pro-lifer.
RIP. Very sad.

Prayers lifted for your grandson.
I know in my family, my great-great uncle had children after he was 50. He was born in Russia,a Russian Jew. He was married once but got divorced over being charged with bigamy even though he was judged to be innocent in a court of law. Well, years later, the matchmaker of the Jewish community(this was in the 1930’s) matched him with a young bride of about 16 to 18 when he was 45 to 50 and they lived on and had a family. He was also a concert level violinist.
Prayers for your grandson. My mother succumbed to inflammatory breast cancer a week before last Thanksgiving. I often wonder if we took the same approach as we did with The Manhattan Project and Project Apollo to the Moon, I wonder if we have a cure by now. I’m an only child but I have step brothers and sisters since Dad remarried. My brother in law is head research doctor at Ohio State for cancer research, I’d like to ask his take on this. BTW he lost his mother two weeks after mine, during Chanukah so we both had it rough during the Holidays.
Wow. We truly show our convictions when confronted with adversity. God Bless this family.
Have a pastor friend whose daughter made the same decision. They had a child drown a couple of years before she became pregnant and about month 3 found out she had cancer. Same situation she refused treatments, had a healthy baby and died almost a year later.
(((((Sending Prayers)))))
Today, about 3,300 other 'mothers', CHOICE'd their child to death in a purely selfish act.
