Jeb Bush is casting a shadow over the entire field of potential Republican presidential candidates, as the former Florida governor continues to ponder a run in 2016 and keep his political options open.
On one hand, the Bush name, a network of donors and his relatively conservative record as governor make Mr. Bush a force to be reckoned with.
But the Bush name also could work against him. Even his mother waffled on whether the country is ready for another member of her family to run for the White House.

Ah, the old Inevitability card. Will that work again and again?
No reason why it shouldn't if the establishment has the money. Especially using fear of Hillary (if she gets the nomination) to 'enforce' their choice. Then get all the conservative media to back him; Thomas Sowell decided against Cruz. After all, he is the only one who has a chance to beat (fill in Democrat here)...
I can't wait till people here on FR start telling me that; and that if we don't march lock step behind him we must be Hillary supporters. /sarc
JEB, for the sake of your country and your mother, GIVE IT UP! We don’t want you.
Step away from the keyboard...
old frothy is running again?!?
ROFL
well, good luck with that ...
Ah, conservatives and Tea Partiers can scream and yell all they want, believing they have influence in the Party.
But as far as Jeb, Karl Rove, the GOPe and the Inside-the-Beltway crowd is concerned, we're just specks on their Cheerios...
Not on me. I did that and still got The Sum Of All Fears in Obama, marxist bastard son of communist scum. Jeb Bush disgusts me. Cowards and fakirs all.
Sarah wont run.
Ben who?
Lee and Pence.. I don’t really know much about either, but wont matter even if they did run, the GOPe will get who they pick to win.
Of course he is. He has the whole GOP political machine behind him, as did his father, his brother, and every other RNC pre-packaged candidate who voters are told “is the only one who can reach across the aisles and win against the Democrats” (translation = will govern like a Democrat).
Terri Schiavo. He’s toast. Along with Shamnesty.
Why don’t they want to win the White House? Because then they would actually have to lead and that comes with too many risks they prefer to avoid. Better to maintain control of the party and be in the minority. That way, they get all the perks of being in the ruling elite and none of the headaches.
Oh Pleeze, really, Jeb? Just kill me now.
It’s easier in California, where it’s absolutely clear that the Loyal Opposition candidate has no chance of winning. There can be no claim that you’re wasting your vote by voting your conscience.
BTTT
Somebody needs to loop Barbara Bush saying she doesn’t want another Bush in the WH.
No! A thousand times, no!!!!!!
We should send Jeb to Africa and the elephants can stomp the bush.
“...The GOPe has spoken...”
And we’ll respond with a write-in candidate.
This guy has raised so many trial balloons, he bankrupted the helium industry.
Go away, Jeb-—far far away.

LET'S STROLL DOWN MEMORY LANE
Invading Iraq without provocation was a horrendous foreign policy decision devised by the neocons for their own self-serving reasons.
You remember the neocons---then-Pres Bush installed them in the WH---in their own Office of Special Ops where---they connived (using our tax dollars) to get the US to invade Iraq.
Bush actually believed the pukeneos when they said an INVASION would "bring peace" to the Mideast.
============================================
THE BIGGEST WHOPPER OF THEM ALL---Bush estimated the Iraq strike would cost $50-60 billion........then Bush publicly fired his aide, Larry Lindsey, because Lindsey dared to say the war might cost more like $100 billion. That was in 2007 dollars.
Iraq and Afghanistan today total about $3 TRILLION, and we're still pouring money down these rat holes........thanks to the neocons.
Predictably, the war profiteering was huge---the WSJ reported neocon guru is setting up his own oil company in Iraq (your tax dollars at work).
The US left Iraq with not a barrel of oil to our name.....and rivers of young blood spilled on its decrepit soil
===================================================
MOMENTS TO REMEMBER--- On the eve of the US invasion of Iraq, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee heard testimony from Marine Corps Gen Anthony Zinni---and other US military experts ---that the so-called architects (they dared not say "neocon") of the Iraq invasion were totally ill-prepared for a post-combat occupation.
US military experts ridiculed the Bush administration claims that rebuilding could be achieved within two years, that the weapons of mass destruction would be destroyed-------and that a vibrant new political and economic system would emerge.
Over a decade later, Iraq---and the rest of the Mideast----has yet to create a viable political and economic system....a system that is totally incompatible w/ their archaic Islamicist thinking macerated in the vengeful dicta of the Koran.
=====================================================
LAUGH BREAK The pukeneos said the Mideast was "thirsting" for American-style democracy.
(waiting for hysterical laughter to die down)
Same place now known as a terrorist hellhole...
<><> Where trillions of US tax dollars were wasted and rivers of young blood were shed.
<><> Where the blood-thirsty Muslim Brotherhood has a stranglehold.
<><> Where neocon godfather and war profiteer, Richard Perle, is starting an oil company (your tax dollars at work).
It took the US over a decade to get out of Iraq....as the globe erupted into Mideast-centered terrorism.....and hate-filled Muslims set sail for America.

These are the glory days of the neocons--now -gearing up to relive those days w/ another gullible Bush.
Bush for president...Thread #291
