ObamaCare was supposed to help me.
Thats all I could think as I sat in the House of Representatives last Tuesday night as the guest of my congresswoman, only a few hundred feet away from President Obama as he gave his State of the Union address. Four years ago, Id have been there cheering for ObamaCares passage. But the real ObamaCare has made my life a nightmare.
I suffer from a difficult chronic illness called lupus, an autoimmune disease with devastating symptoms that strike when you least expect them. At age 40, my life is filled with visits to doctors, specialists and the emergency room. While paying for this care is expensive, I have no other choice.
Prior to ObamaCare, I bought my health insurance through CoverTN, a program run by the state of Tennessee. The coverage was perfectly suited to my unique medical condition. It offered me low premiums, a low deductible and low co-pays for my regular trips to doctors and specialists. This plan was perfect for someone with my unique medical condition and limited financial means.
My plan was canceled last fall. According to the regulators behind ObamaCare, it was a subpar plan that should no longer be sold to consumers. Another 16,000 Tennesseans on the same plan were similarly dumped. Many, like me, liked their plans and wanted to keep them.

Any plan that does not cover free birth control medication and abortion is ‘subpar’, at least from the Government’s perspective.
I really find it hard to sympathize with these people. They were warned, they drank the Koolaid anyhow.
Tough.
“Any plan that does not cover free birth control medication and abortion is subpar”
I’m beginning to think that was the bridge too far for Obamacare. Not just the b/c; abortion stuff, but all the mandates. If they had left that part out things might be working better now.
Twitchy’s got some thread going about some actress (never heard of her) who lost her coverage due to Ocare (but of course she immediately blames the GOP). I mention this because I’m guessing she may have had some kind of catastrophic coverage through SAG or something like that; a lot of people had very basic coverage through professional associations, those plans are probably all gone now.
But you know, that’s all most people need, what I used to call appendicitis/hit by a car insurance. Not this crazy “all your health care is belong to us” monstrosity.
I see you and raise you one.
I DON'T FEEL BAD FOR ANYBODY STUPID ENOUGH TO VOTE FOR THAT BAFOON! ! ! ! !
Sucker!
The entire patient population of the US must suffer to meet the incidental ancillary needs of the few who could, and do, afford them anyway.
Ultimately, if our Supreme Court ever hopes to have at least some smidgen of a legacy of “justice” it will put a stop to all of this cronyism, special dispensation, and outright pandering to special interest groups.
It is nothing more than blatant unequal treatment under the law.
My wife’s plan was $330ish a month until Obamacare cancelled it and notified her that her new premium would be in the $900 range per month. We had to let it go because we could barely afford the other. “Affordable Healthcare Act” my a$h. A misnomer if I ever heard one.
The US Surgeon General needs to put a warning label on Kool Aid
Add another pristine example of the arbitrariness of a government bureaucrat making decisions about what is good or bad, right or wrong, fair or unfair, and on and on and on. Seems our not-so-uniquely diagnosed Lupus sufferer thought her coverage was just fine until someone deemed it unworthy and took it away.
The sad part is, when universal government-run health care is introduced, and it will be — these same fools will embrace it too. They will continue to trust the snake oil salesman and his cohorts again and again. And they will be disappointed again and again.
Miss Emily Lamb... that would never have happened if you had not embraced the evils of socialist progressive demonology and baby murder... but you and I know that those two things are what made you a dim and made you support the progressive movement... so now that pain has awakened you... what are YOU going to do about it? Come into the light Emily... you will find friends here.
As far back as 2008, at the presidential debate in Nashville, Democrat candidate Obama advanced his signature healthcare plan---ultimately enacted, by an historic straight Democrat party-line vote, into the "Affordable Care Act"
QUOTING 2008 OBAMA: "No. 1, let me just repeat, if youve got a health care plan that you like, you can keep it. All Im going to do is help you to lower the premiums on it. Youll still have choice of doctor. Repeated over and over ---- with the promise that every American family would be saving $2500.00 on healthcare costs.
Significantly, Obamba NEVER corrected lock-stepping Democrats, all reading from the same Democrat talking points, all of them repeating the same Democrat promises---over and over again.

SEN. MAX BAUCUS (D-Mont.): That is why one of the central promises of health care reform has been and is: If you like what you have, you can keep it. That is critically important. SEN. SEN. BARBARA BOXER (D-Calif.): So we Democrats want people to be able to keep the health care they have. And the answer to that is choice of plans. SEN. SHERROD BROWN (D-Ohio): Our Democrat bill says if you have health insurance and you like it, you can keep it (Sen. Brown, Congressional Record, S.12612, 12/7/09)

(Health Care Plan Would Help N.J., Menendez Says, The Record, 6/19/09)
SEN. JEFF MERKLEY (D-Oreg.): [E]nsuring that those who like their insurance get to keep it The HELP Committee bill sets forward a historic Democrat plan that will, for the first time in American history, give every American access to affordable health coverage, reduce costs, and increase choice, while ensuring that those who like their insurance get to keep it. As I said, you may have missed my remarks at the beginning of the call, but one of the things I that I said as a requirement that I have for supporting a Democrat bill is that if you have health coverage that you like you should be able to keep that. under every scenario that Ive seen, if you have health coverage that you like, you get to keep it. (Sen. Shaheen, Health Care Questions From Across New Hampshire, Accessed 11/13/13)
SEN. DEBBIE STABENOW (D-Mich.): As someone who has a large number of large employers in my state, one of the things I appreciate about the Democrat chairmans remark is is the grandfathering provisions, the fact that the people in my state, 60 percent of whom have insurance, are going to be able to keep it. And Mr. Chairman, I appreciate that. Thats a strong commitment. Its clear in the bill I appreciate the strong commitment on your part and the president to make sure that if you have your insurance you can keep it. Thats the bottom line for me. (U.S. Senate, Finance Committee, Bill Mark-Up, 9/24/09)

Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) the 60th vote on Obamacare: "people who are happy with their current plan, wouldn't need to change it."
FRANKEN YOUTUBE SOUND BITE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCZmAYYNz8Ihttp://www.youtube.com/watch?
Why in the world was she cheering for Obamacare 4 yrs ago when she had $57 a month insurance with low copays for her serious and costly(to taxpayers)illness?? I bet she thought Obama was going to make it free for her.
THINK OF IT AS A LESSION IN LIFE---LEARNED THE HARD WAY: Politicians are the lowest form of human life and will say anything to get a vote.

OBAMA'S "I'M STUPID" DEFENSE (hey, it works in Chicagoland): "Obama Says He Didnt Lie, He Just "Didnt Understand" How Obamacare Worked....
As Confucious say: " 'Tis far better to admit to being a blithering idiot than to own up to impeachable offenses---
<><> using presidential power to throw millions of Americans off health insurance plans,
<><> leaving very ill Americans without any access to needed care,
<><> throwing $billions at a useless web site and state exchanges,
<><> hiring felons and criminals as O/Care navigators,
<><> bailing out insurers left high and dry w/ false promises.
========================================
CONCLUSIONS---OBAMA'S UNMITIGATED CONTEMPT FOR THE CITIZENRY--that we, the people, would actually believe the White House spin. Chicagoland criminals get away with this in their sordid city---the con artists have no idea how insulting they are to we, the people. They don't even know we see through their Chicagoland cons.
Conclusive proof that liberals should NEVER, EVER get their filthy hands on political power---they're too stupid to know how to use it.
We live with so much stupidity. It’s hard to soar like an eagle when you live with turkey’s.
No free lunch, Emilie. You deserve what you get. You allied yourself with evil. Remember the frog and the snake. The snake will always be a snake.
Tell me, when those on the right warned you of the very problems you are having now...
...did you listen, or call them racist Teabaggers?
I’m suspecting the latter. If I’m right, shut the hell up.
