Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson has been fired from the reality program following his controversial remarks in GQ magazine regarding homosexuality.
A+E Networks, parent company of A&E, has released the following statement to Variety:
We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertsons comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty. His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community.
Funny thing it comes out right after an ultra liberal interviewer didn't get an interview because Phil went hunting.
And the media and the government as well including education. But GOD is in control of all things and will judge all. That fact can not be escaped. Everyone will one day give an account.
Thanks!
Ugh, just notices this is Change.org, isn’t the a Soros funded site?
Duck Dynasty on TheBlaze has a nice ring to it, according to Glenn Beck.
One day after Phil Robertsons comments about homosexuality earned him an indefinite suspension from the hit series Duck Dynasty on A&E, Beck offered the entire Robertson family a place on his own network.
[All the other networks] will fold to pressure, he said. They will all fold to sponsors. They will all fold to money because they are all in over their eyeballs are debt the only reason why Phil was put on hiatus and not the rest is because it is a money-printing machine.
Beck said as he sees it, the Robertson family has a choice to make.
If I am in the Robertson family, I sit down with my family and say, Is this the way were going to [let] him be treated? Is this who we are? Are we going to [be] quiet because he has an opinion about the scriptures?
Beck said that based on what he knows about the family, theyre not going to continue as though nothing happened. He went so far as to suggest that the entire family call GQ Magazine, where Robertsons comments appeared, and tell them nothing but, I agree with Phil.
You will either be out, or you will be the most powerful people the country has ever seen on television, Beck said. You already have all of the juice youre ever gonna get And if you take a stand and they fire you well be on the phone.
We would be proud to have you, he added.
Beck concluded: May I suggest: Make your stand. You will never have a better chance. And quite honestly, youre our best shot as people. If we dont get people to wake up to the fact that this is fascism, that we are not allowed to have another opinion
theyre never going to wake up. And youre our best shot.
This could be the tipping point where state-controlled media loses their influence forever.
Beck’s self-promotion is disgusting. All he can think about is how to get his cut out of this and improve his own bottom line. This isn’t the time for him to offer his open sales pitch to the clan.
lol
You either support what Phil said or you support teaching your son that it’s okay for his male friend to put his penis up his rear end when he’s old enough, and that it’s just as valid and healthy as the marriage mommy and daddy have.
I disagree. I believe since they already have the next season filmed, it will air with Phil, and by the time the time rolls around to film the following season, his suspension will have been lifted.
A&E wants to have it both ways: appease their religion of political correctness and hold on to the highest rated cable television show in history, and the money that goes along with it.
I think they miscalculated, though. It appears they’re getting a lesson in the reality of the “moral majority.”
Modern day book burning.
Clearly, the regressives hold a lot of power. All we can do is fight.
“Many years ago, I worked at a major Hollywood studio.
I had lunch with one of the department supervisors and he admitted to me then that not only was he gaywhich he had held very closelybut that they wanted such health benefits way back then because of the high cost of paying for their partners HIV medicines.
Many of the gay couples have only one partner working-and supporting the health issues of the other partner.
I always wondered if the working partner ever realized that they were signing their own death warrant by continuing to have sex with an infected and active HIV person.
This happened in the very early 70s-over 38 years ago.”
You knew people with AIDS back in the early 1970s? Wasn’t the first reported case of AIDS in America around 1981 or so?
They should all quit and go over to the Fox Network. If they can play Family Guy & the Simpsons they can air that show no problem.
Me’thinks it has been for awhile now.
I think Fox is too pc to do that. Maybe Beck, but even Beck is pc. Where have all the rebels gone?
Eventually they’re going to learn that you can’t show favoritism to everyone!
