The health director who approved the release of President Obamas birth certificate has died in a plane crash, Hawaiian officials said Thursday.
Loretta Fuddy died after the Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft she was travelling on went down shortly after leaving Kalaupapa Airport at around 3:15 p.m. local time (10:15 a.m. ET) on Wednesday.
The other eight people on board were rescued, Richard Schuman, president of Makani Kai Air, told NBC News early Thursday, adding that that there was no indication as to why the plane had crashed.
Fuddy hit the headlines two years ago when she approved a waiver request allowing Obama to access certified copies of his birth certificate, signed by the delivery doctor, Obamas mother and the local registrar. His mother, then 18, signed her name (Stanley) Ann Dunham Obama.

Of course it’s possible the survivors don’t want to be identified because in the moment of panic when they realized they had a few seconds to exit the aircraft before it sank, it was every man for himself and they left the 65 year old woman behind.

She’s got it all right there.
Right, I am still trying to absorb all this.
“Obamacide...”
No. It’s Karma.
OK, now I see it, down the right hand side of the graph, effective date December 12.
AND THERE IS A TOWER.
But this URL dated the same date
https://nfdc.faa.gov/nfdcApps/airportLookup/airportDisplay.jsp?airportId=PHLU
SHOWS NO TOWER.
My bad. I provided the chart for Molokai (PHMK) which is less than 8NM from PHLU. So, they were within radio range of the tower at Molokai.
MY FAULT for the confusion.
Glad I could help
Not to worry...maybe one of those 40 foot waves engulfed the aircraft and snuffed out the carburettor. You wouldn’t get me into a single engine aircraft over land or water, without a pair of wings attached to my body, lol.
If that gif of Clinton laugh-crying at his funeral isn’t on this thread of almost 200 posts so far, I’ll eat a corner of my ipad.
e rescuers spotted Shelly Kelly moving about the wreckage, several hours after the crash itself. Shelly was placed on a helicopter and evacuated to the hospital, but - strangely - was dead on arrival of a broken neck.
You know how turbulent a helicopter ride can be.
That's one explanation for the fact that eight of the nine people on board survived and only Fuddy did not. At this time, there are other possibilities. But all plausible explanations must come up with some factor that differed as it pertained to Fuddy when contrasted with the eight survivors.
BTW, FWIW, Fuddy's Deputy Health Dept. director was among the survivors.
Building on my previous point, I’m not so sure that of these two options, that one is radically more likely or achievable than the other . . .
1 — Arranging the actual death of one passenger in a plane crash not severe enough to kill any others.
2 — Creating the illusion one passenger died in a plane crash wherein all others survive.
My idea above was that the good guys might have staged a death in order to ensure “witness protection” for Fuddy. BUT, now I also wonder if the Obama admin may have been motivated to keep her alive (hypothetically perhaps so she could “posthumously” quell her already dispersed “insurance” recordings so they don’t otherwise emerge though her designated confidantes) while convincingly removing her from the radar of Zullo and any of other “renegade” authorities who might be able to ultimately loosen her lips.
Again, please don’t take me as arguing for this position. I’m merely posing it as an admittedly out-there theory in case others hadn’t considered it but find it worth pondering.

In the water, Fuddy held hands with deputy director Keith Yamamoto as he tried to help her relax, said the Rev. Patrick Killilea, who consoled Yamamoto after the ordeal.
“He recounted how he said he helped Loretta into her life jacket and he held her hand for some time,” the priest said. “They were all floating together and she let go and there was no response from her.”

The deputy director said he was holding her hand in the water and at some point she let go. So she was conscious, and it was also noted that she had her life jacket on. The deputy director was able to get out safely and IIRC one of the reports said he was not hospitalized afterwards either.
